Batista remains one of the least popular main event wrestlers in the WWE locker room. According to multiple sources within the company, he rubs a lot of people the wrong way with his attitude and what people perceive as arrogance.
The locker room heat on Batista is not quite as intense as it was after he got into a fight with Booker T back in 2006. The feeling amongst wrestlers and WWE staffers at the time was that Batista had it coming and Booker T gained even more respect in the locker room for standing up to him. Booker and Batista eventually worked out their differences in the interest of professionalism.
Fellow wrestlers say that Batista’s two biggest interests in life seem to be women and cars, not wrestling. They also noted that management has spoken with Batista in the past about his behavior with lady friends he has brought backstage as well as his female co-workers.
One wrestler noted that Chris Benoit was Batista’s mentor, and was known to pull Batista aside and keep him in check when his ego was out of control.

The one thing I dislike about wrestling news, and it doesn't really pertain to this story so much anymore than any other, is in regular/real journalism, they actually have to quote their sources. It'd end so much speculation on if an article is smarkbait or newz; if a story like this had a guy named and quoted him e.g. - so and so said of Batista, "He likes cars and wimmens, wrestling, no so much."
I know it'll never happen, but I'd like to see it a little bit.

I don't know why that's so interesting. I care about women and drinking more than I do about my job, nodody gives me heat for it. As long as he entertains the fans he has, who cares? At least he's not in for the title every month now.

Goodbye sources.

I'm aware, I'm just saying, it'd make the wrestling media seem more legitimate, and less Enquirerish.

I'm aware, I'm just saying, it'd make the wrestling media seem more legitimate, and less Enquirerish. Respectable news outlets do it too. For example the election 08. In recent days I've lost counts of stories from repectable papers that say 'one source says Hillary refuses to believe it's over' or 'one campaign source said Bill Clinton insisted on staying in north carolina despite strong feeling against it'. It's just the way of the news world.

I'm aware, I'm just saying, it'd make the wrestling media seem more legitimate, and less Enquirerish. True, but for that to really occur the wrestling media would have to lose its fantasist streak, which doesnt appear to be onn the horizon anytime soon.

Batista should be given a womenizing used car salesman gimmick. He would be natural at it.

Well I'd be a ticked turd too if I was a second best babyface on a second rate show and prior to that I was first string at everything.

Don't forget, though, that wrestlers tend to be passionate about the business and they look down on anyone who doesn't take them seriously. And if you get out of hand, than off to wrestler's court you go.

I don't really care if his peers like him, as long as the animosity isn't to the point like it was with him and Booker where it seemed to affect how they worked together. As long as it doesn't hurt the product on my tv screen, then it doesn't affect me in the least bit if people don't like him.

In addition to cars and women, I think Batista also loves a certain sport. A sport where you aim for a net and the opposing team tries to block you. I think it's hockey.

And if you get out of hand, than off to wrestler's court you go. I think the guys that are really passionate about it are very few and far between now, mainly due to the way these new guys get pushed to the moon within a couple of years without paying their dues. There are exceptions, I know that, but just look at Goldberg, Lesnar, Lashley and Batista. They couldn't give a crap about the business.

According to one source, many have taken to calling him Dave "The Backstage Bug" Batista because he's always bugging people backstage.

This is just another newsflash about nothing...
Still milking the episode with Booker, almost 2 years old now. And adding nothing new worth of mention.
He likes cars and women? Good for him if he can "afford" top notch material in both fields. As long as he puts on entertaining matches and he's over, he can do whatever he wants to when off camera.
Flair didn't get shit for being a viveur and a tombeur de femmes , why should Batista?
