He knows how to work a crowd and he's definately getting better in the ring since his injury. The five-knuckles shuffle still annoys me though. I know it's supposed to be an "insult" kinda move, but it's still not a People's Ellbow.

Worked his way up to his spot, from generic guy with Ruthless Aggression, to being the new Sting. Seriously this guy is great, awesome in the ring, on the mic, and well everything you could hope for in a spokesperson for your company. Meaning well spoken, well groomed, a hit with the women and children, somebody who hasn't ever been linked to drug abuse, and somebody that actually makes you go wow he was a mark when I was. Seriously the dude is really cool. I wish nothing, but the best for him. The best wrestler of his generation, best in the world to me actually... This. I have no problem seeing him as the top guy for the next 5-10 years. In fact that pleases me somewhat.

How did I miss out on this thread!
I could go on forever but I'll sum up my thoughts in one sentence
He is quite simply the best professional wrestler in the world today.

Cena has an appreciation thread??
4-5 years ago I could see one, when he was actually ENTERTAINING AS A RAPPER but now that he has dominated the pro wrestling world even more than hogan and has lost quite a bit promowise and has become extremely bland due to whoevers fault. Ahhh well!!! i guess when you shove someone down the fans throat's long enough they are just going to move on or accept it and have no choice and learn to like it.

Ok this might sound strange but I love hating the guy(character). He interests me everytime he's on the screen, even though I want him to loose. I almost always hate faces anyway but he does a good job of wanting me to see him loose, thus I watch wwe. I guess that's something positive to say about the guy.

I know it's supposed to be an "insult" kinda move, but it's still not a People's Ellbow. Why isn't the people's elbow? Back in 2000, people were complaining about it as much as people complaining about the Knuckle Shuffle.

He's good on the mic, charismatic and consistently delivers in big matches.

I hate and will always HATE the splitting of the crowd everywhere Cena goes. Some will argue, "well he gets a great reaction regardless" I JUST HATE SPLIT REACTIONS is all. Turn him heel already. Im starting to hear more boos than cheers anyways this past year or so.
and no... I dont think it would hurt his "merchandise sales" that much, before people interject that notion. He needs to refresh his character a bit IMO, at least to get me a little interested.

He has that "big time" feel to him where it seems everything he does matters, not many wrestlers have that these days.

Bingo, he makes you want to watch his matches, whether you want him to win or loose.

And I think it would be a little silly to turn him heel right now. It just wouldn't make a whole lot of sense from a storyline standpoint. They'd at least need to build it up for quite some time. Just doing it randomly would make no sense whatsoever. I wouldn't mind seeing him heel again...but yeah.

I agree.... Not about the warrior appreciation thread though . HAHA (there u go again RobbySac... I mean Mac Cena turning heel at this moment doesnt make much sense with WM right around the corner, but Cena turning heel maybe at WM or the Raw afterwards would be pretty memorable IMO. Hes do for a change in his character at least I think to a more cowardly, dastardly, on edge heel. This isnt 1987 anymore. People's attention spans arent what they were 20 years ago and superman runs get pretty bland after awhile.
On top of that, there isnt anyone left for him to beat on Raw is there? Maybe a move to smackdown for Cena to create some renewed interest and fresher fueds? It wouldnt hurt. How many times do u people want to see Cena-trips, Cena-Kennedy, Cena-Orton(though it was pretty good when it started)

Yep, move the guy who is FAR AND AWAY the number one guy in the company to your B Show is the right move. A heel turn makes no sense whatsoever right now for him. Turning your number one babyface heel to appease a vocal yet small minority of the fans would be stupid on so many levels.

Keeping Cena on Raw with the same bland character to continue the same old simplistic, redundant, repackaged fueds with same top guys month after month, year after year, makes more sense?

It's a John Cena Appreciation thread if I am correct. Is there a point to say you don't like him in a thread meant to talk about the good things about the guy?

They should change his character when he stops getting a reaction. The split crowds are great and it's a lot of fun watching when the crowd is so involved. But until then I will continue having a blast cheering against him. He's the guy on the roster I love to hate. If only they could pull this off equally as well with the heels.
