Mae Young has done more for the business in the last 10 years than a lot of guys have done their entire career.

You know, when Mae Young was announced for the Hall of Fame, even I was like WTF, but now that I think about it, let the old broad have her day, she won't be with us much longer.

I've been arguing for Mae Young's induction for a few years now and sometimes it wasn't easy. I guess people didn't realise how much of a pioneer she was and didn't give her enough credit for her unexpected stardom during the Attitude years.

She deserves it, if not for her early days as a wrestler but for her re-emergence in the late 90's to the current. Fans my age are always going to remember Mae Young, wrestling fans my grandfathers age will remember Mae Young.

No current fans(including myself) knew who she was until she made her WWE debut in 1999? Moolah even stated that on a RAW.

Here's something else, the HOF isn't for you, it's for the wrestlers. Some people really need to remember that.

Am just asking what EXACTLY did she do to qualify as a pioneer? Moolah was a pioneer for Woman's wrestling and a far more recognizable name, Mae Young was best known for giving birth to a hand.

Theres no question Moolah had more of an impact on womans professional wrestling than Mae Young. Jerry Rice is in the NFL Hall of Fame, but so is Lynn Swann. The numbers arent close, but both men are deserving. There is a certain level of politics involved here too though. I don't know the WWE s current relationships with Lelani Kai or Judy Martin but I know they think highly of Mae Young, plus for a woman in her 80's shes been willing to go through some pretty insane stuff to entertain.

The fact that SO many others are snubbed over "friends" makes this whole HOF useless.
You'd think they would treat it as something special by inducting people like;
Wendi Richter Elizabeth Rockin Robin ....hell even Sable
As far as Mae being a pioneer, I'm not too familar with her, but I know enough that WWE's word against the real wrestling world, is completely false, the few names that I listed were far more impacting than Mae. And I doubt Wendi would be inducted any time soon. Kind of stupid IMO.

They elect on friends and family and whatever works. Lets just step back and realize this is a HOF without the likes of Bruno Sammartino and Randy Savage, yet contains the likes of Johnny Rodz and Bob Orton Jr.

I got nothing against Mae being inducted, Somewhat wondering mind you if it's a sympathy induction following Moolah's Passing, No doubt she would end up getting in anyway.
Still waiting for Dibiase and Finkel,
The annoying thing is you have to wait another year if the people you want Inducted don't make it > : (

I really hope the next 2-3 guys that they announce for the HoF are from the 80's. I always envisioned Ricky Steamboat being inducted with Ric Flair, so I really hope that happens. There are so many other guys from that time period that deserve consideration. The Von Erichs & the Freebirds, for instance. Jake Roberts. Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard. The list goes on and on.

Does anybody besides me think Stone Cold will be inducted next year? Considering it'll be in his homestate of Texas and all.

Speaking of Texas... They still haven't inducted the Funks... Though if they inducted the Von Erichs it might be too much to induct more than one wrestling family.

Honest question here, would it be too much of an insult to just elect Fritz,David,Kevin and Kerry into the HOF? Chris and Mike don't really deserve it Sounds crass I agree, but Chris Von Erich HOFer? c'mon

They should specifically use the Adkinson name in giving background and they should definitely only include actual members of the family (sorry Waldo and Lance). In their highlight package they should mainly focus on Fritz, David, Kevin, and Kerry with some focus on Mike, but not much mention of Chris.

It's a ritual. Every year I 1) piss and moan that DiBiase wasn't inducted, and 2) piss and moan that San Francisco isn't getting next year's Mania.
