God, I love this gimmick. Mainly because I like how they use wrestling history through Lethal.
This gimmick has actually made me care about Lethal. I thought it was a stupid idea at first but now I am really enjoying it.
Anyone else notice that he looks like he;s going to crack up during the promos sometimes?

I'm the same way. I always liked Lethal and was kinda PO'd when they slapped this Macho Man gimmick on him, but I like the way they've run with it - all the classic wrestling refereces and what not.
I do miss Jay as one of the X-Division crew that was always cracking jokes though. Lethal, Austin, Shelly, Sabin etc. The whole Paparazzi Challenge crew.
---- Shelly: You know what would really help me out here Kev? Some music. Nash: [starts humming Push It] Shelly: Yeah. Push up. Push up real good!
epic lulz

Yeah, like I was saying in the iMpact! thread last night, this is quite possibly my favorite wrestling gimmick of all time (and I've seen nearly two decades of wrestling now).
It's just absolute genius, and I LOVE the old school references.

I'm just waiting for them to do "King Machismo."

The gimmick got off to a questionable start as a Macho Man impersonator, but I feel it turned into gold when Lethal started acting like he WAS the Macho Man. Him refering to himself as a part of old storylines and stuff like thinking So Cal Val is Liz and even calling her that is hilarious.

Jay has done a great job with the whole Macho man gimmick-far better than I suspect TNA thought he would do.
Having said that, I still can't believe this gimmick is sustainable for very much longer. What does he do when it runs its course? I hope he has the charisma to pull off something else.

I will forever sing the praises of Black Machismo. Lethal was so uninteresting as the green tights wearing "young guy", but the character changed every aspect of his work for the better. I love the way he works in the Macho Man mannerisms and moves into his style and has created this kind of hybrid blend that looks great in the ring and is really fun to watch. Definitely one of my favorite things going in wrestling.

working like macho man has done nothing but wonders for lethal's matches.
his punches have been awesome a long with his promos.
This is so far beyond
"THIS IS THE CHANCE....I've been waiting FOR!"-awkward pose-

It's funny, and there are still some funny one liners he says like the Adonis thing.. but it's ran its course for me.

It's weird..when he first started his impression was spot on. I think he's stressing his voice too much now. In any event, Jay Lethal's a young guy. He won't have this gimmick forever.

Complete opposite for me man, I liked it at first but now it just bores me. The history thing is just because they are so uncreative to actually write or book something new for him, IMO.
