Well I don't understand people that think people are actually serious about this. It's so fun getting people worked up. Good to see people can take the bait.

Hahahahahaha. Overreacting. It's funny, cause I don't think they know who KongaDave is. Over reacting made him famous you goofy twits. Good to see you on the boards KD. I agree somewhat on the AJ thing. Not so much a burial as misuse IMO. Firstly, thanks for the insult. Twit, heh, cant say ive gotten that one before. Choking his coach made Latrell Sprewell famous (at least, moreso than he was already), that doesnt mean he should get a free pass if he does it again. Im well aware of who KongaDave is, does it make it wrong for me to disagree with him when he goes on a tirade and either doesnt acknowledge, or laughs at people who use facts to argue against an opinion that he doesnt even want to discuss (on a discussion board, mind you) in the first place? Call me crazy, but if youre going to make a thread being outspoken against something, with no desire to actually discuss that opinion with someone that disagrees, then its a pretty pointless thread. Its all in good fun though, i have nothing better to do, might as well get the obligatory TNA sucks argument out of the way for the night

You can't argue against Internet Legend Konga Dave. Nothing you say could ever be right against him. It would be like having a karaoke contest against that choclate rain guy, or having a crap drinking contest against the 2 girls 1 cup chicks. In other words, you can't win.

But back on topic, out of everyone on TNA, Styles is probably the best book and I'm shocked i'm even interested in it. They could go either way but i'm thinking Styles will join Christian.

What? How is he buried if he can't make his mind?! In what frame of mind does those two ideas happen? A person is usually buried if he ends up losing a match without much resistance, or if he get outshined in a promo, or ignopred for a while. Not when he follows the damn storyline to add drama! Or unless he writes 26 page scripts of TV that sux. You are really a member of the writing team, aren't ya? Tell Dutch I said hi! Either Konga is drunk, or his account has been jacked...

Seems the pretty standard Konga Dave stuff to me. Maybe a little angrier. The only thing that makes me think it could be phony is the part about getting a phone call. Nobody calls that f***ing guy.

*sigh* Okay, let's define "Buried". Basically, being buried is jobbing out, and not getting much TV time. The pinnacle is when you're the guy standing in the ring after the commercial break waiting for your opponent to come out to the ring. AJ is FAR from buried. Yes, TNA has made the whopping HUGE mistake of trying to be WWE-Lite. I can't tell you why. I don't know why they thought it would be a grand idea to hire all the WWE rejects and think they could make a show out of it. I was high on Christian, I was kinda meh on Angle after the first month (but admit it, you crapped your pants when you heard it the first time), and the whole Sting thing from start to finish I could have done without. But Booker T is really the "I really am starting to worry about this" guy. That's another topic on another day. But the moral of the story is, TNA wants to make more storylines for it's wrestling. I still don't think they're going overboard with them, I mean, we got 4 mini-rumbles this week. That's not a bad bit of programming. Comparitively, to WWE, that's an assload of matches and content. AJ Styles was a top guy pre-TV. His in-ring ability is off the page when he's uncorked (which granted, he hasn't been lately). But his interview & camera-mugging sucked to high heaven. He was uninteresting, and to be frank, when Joe flat out murdered him on his initial rampage through the X-Division, I kinda enjoyed it. So, they went to transform AJ to the next level of superstar. The one who can be entertaining to listen to, as well as entertaining in the ring. There are few who have achieved this feat, and to make that mark is a lofty goal. It's not one that's achieved overnight. So they had to repackage his on-air character a bit. They stuck him with Christian for a spell. They did this to let him play off of somebody who's money on the microphone. No different than packaging fledgling interviewers with managers circa 80's. They are beginning to sever that tie. AJ is not on the fast track to the main event again. He's on the slow track. This is the peverbial "slow build" to making AJ a modern-day TNA World Champion. He probably won't even end it on Final Resolution (which is ironic if you think about it). My personal bet is he helps Christian wear the gold one more time, but will end up screwing it up for him, and Christian will be AJ's stepping stone back into the main event picture. Whether you like it or not, in-ring ability is NOT enough to get you over in this day and age. (Hi, my name's Kaz.) Just let AJ do his acting for now, you'll get his in-ring matches again. He's nowhere near buried. He's nowhere near under-pushed. He's being built the right way. From the ground up. Of course, we could just hire the Human Tornado and solve all my worldly problems, but that's another topic for another day...

My question is, if you've read the spoilers and read the entire script and know you are not going to like it, then why would you watch it?
I like A.J.'s gimmick and damn, he's even made me enjoy watching Tomko.

I knew I recoginzed that voice from somewhere. No way is AJ getting buried. Stupid? Maybe but not buried. If you are made to look STUPID in wrestling skits and you are a champ, that buries you. QFT, AJ is a little too far into his career and too accomplished to be playing a goof. They need to have him go back to his bitter character from when he first turned heel. I still remember the promos about his childhood where he said to Mike Tenay "It may have been cool to have a black and white TV set when you were growing up but it wasn't for me" not acting like a redneck retard or holing up in his room refusing to talk to anyone like a spoiled 5 year old who didn't get two nutty buddies for dessert.

Wow, I never knew that JBL got buried throughout his title reign. I basically agree with what someone else said. AJ's sillyness adds a whole new dimension to his character. In today's world, the wrestler who is all about competition gets bland and will need an extra part of his personality to keep it fresh.

I swear some people on this thread complain just to complain, either that or you don't understand basic cut & dry concepts of wrestling
If a wrestler isn't being used the way YOU want that isn't a burial...if he is the main focal point in a storyline that should be focused on the two people who will wrestle for the WHC isn't a burial...if he couldn't make a decision, it isn't a burial...
Please, someone use the term "burial" in the proper sense.....oy vey I get an annurism from reading these posts, but it's like a drug, I have to see what asinine statements are made!!!

I won't say AJ's been "buried", because he's getting exposure to the audience. My problem is, when you take a guy from "Mr TNA" for YEARS, then suddenly he's the "kid brother" in the equation, that's just awkward. I don't want him to have to kill himself with spot after spot every single night, and they are building his "decision" as important, but really, shouldn't he have at least a little fire, a little bit of "I've been busting my ass here for five years, who the hell do you think you are?" in him?

You know what's really interesting?
You, or someone in your house, is (hopefully) paying a cable/satellite bill for you to watch "utter crap".
You don't like the product presented before you? Well, I know my remote has a zillion buttons on it, and I wouldn't go as far as to say you can change the channel (clap clap clapclapclap).

AJ has been the star of the show for the last few weeks... he gets a majority of TV time... yeah, he's being buried... perfect sense.

Last week, the show's title is named after him. This week, the show's main 'running drama' is all about him. I hope someday, in what ever career I wind up doing, I'm this 'buried'.
