With that look now, he reminds me of my days as in youth wrestling. Those were bad days.
Maybe he just felt he needed a change, or forgot his boots absentmindedly. We know he can be absentminded on occasion...

It's a unwritten rule at the olympics, but after you win a gold medal in any sport if you happen to find yourself in a pro wrestling ring then you get to wear sneakers.

Maybe he just got sick of lacing up the full size boots every time he wrestles. He's got enought drama to worry about with karen and aj, he doesn't have the time to worry about all those laces

I think it goes back to WMXX, he is traumatized after Eddie Guerrero's trick to roll him up & get the win. The Integrity "I" coming into play there.

I think Angle's new deal with the socks and shoes is hideous. I can't stand when a wrestler doesn't wear knee pads either.

I'm pretty sure he's done it his whole run in TNA. Didn't he do it before he left the WWE too? Yeah, but it was less noticable then cuz the shoes were black, so it just looked like he was wearing shorter boots |
