And I'll bet Dixie is mystified.
"But Mike Tenay talked about it for two seconds in the middle of a match! He saids the word "big!" That's the most brilliant promotion ever! How could this happen!?!?!"

Watch it be 1.2 next week, the ratings are all screwed up.. The ratings system as currently constructed IS screwed up. It's a crock, really. We have no real idea how many people are actually watching a given show.

We *could* get the technology, I guess we just choose not to use it.

More Impact ratings data of the live episode on 3/27. The episode did .71 in M18-49, a .48 in P18-49, a .68 in M18-34. The show did quarter hours of 0.92, 0.87, 0.92, 0.95, 1.00, 0.89, 1.02, and 1.25.
Gerweck.net
so basically the ratings fluctuated but as the main event came up it rose quite considerably.

Personally i thought it was a great show, don't know about Petey losing again though...they could have found squash opponents.

Well that's good, cause the Main Event was the best match of the show.

Starting weak and ending strong isn't a bad sign despite a disappointing rating.

LOL @ TNA
I hate to come down on em', but they couldn't do anything with prime time. Couldn't do anything with 2 hours Now they didn't do anything live.
It's sad to see, but I think they deserve this mishap because of the Highlander incident. Riding the coattails of the other company in hopes to get a few extra people to tune in is low, and I just hope they understand the concept of karma from here on out.

So Sting's appearance worked for his part but, not the whole show. What got the 1.02?

Remember, ratings only count and are reliable if they go up. Honest.

I'm guessing that the .8 quarter hours were for the BG / Kip promo and the Karen Angle promo. The whole Karen storyline needs to be dropped ASAP... it just feels like a rerun of what happened leading up to Hard Justice 2007.
TNA needs to bring back Bullet Bob... ratings always went up when he was on. ;D

Remember, ratings only count and are reliable if they go up. Honest. No, but little .1 increase or decrease mean absolutely nothing. It's a couple people writing in a book what they watched and for how long. Now, a 1.0 jump up or down is probably indicative for an actual change in the amount of people watching. For wrestling, buyrates are probably a safer route to go. And they're not too great for TNA.

I don't understand the magic in being "live". Aside from a few thousand fans that read spoilers, it doesn't make a difference.

I don't understand the magic in being "live". Aside from a few thousand fans that read spoilers, it doesn't make a difference. True. Fans that read them will decide whether or not to watch the show based on those. So you get some saying "Think I'll give that a miss" & some saying "Sounds like it might be a good show". There are no real benefits for TNA going live at this stage. It won't really affect their ratings too much.

I'll defend this the same way I did Smackdown! last week. The NCAA tournament in primetime affects most everything that appeals to the male demographic.
For the record, I think TNA sucks now more than ever and has done nothing but go down hill in terms of quality since I was dropping $9.95 every Wednesday night to watch them in 2002.
