Jonathan Coachman is one of the anchors on ESPNEWS right now. I watch everyday and this is the first time I have seen him, so this is likely his big debut.
If anyone still needed conformation that he was gone from WWE and now with ESPN, there it is.

I just turned the channel over to ESPNEWS, so I should be getting confirmation shortly.

From the little I heard of him, he doesn't sound too bad. It'll feel a little unusual seeing him on ESPN, though.

I too feel a little weird about seeing Coachman on ESPN. I am happy he has found a job with the top sports network in America, but it's still a bit on the odd side.

I was wondering when they would have him start. I was thinking they might have been saving him for the launch of Sportscenter Live next week.

So when did the Coach leave the WWE?
I know he did some work for the MSG network and WNBA announcing.

Coach had been doing work for MSG Network (on-air) and was damn good, so it's no surprise he's making a good transition to ESPN.

Good for Coach. I'm amazed his WWE stint didn't finish him off as a legitimate sports broadcaster.

You know I'll never understand why everyone on the net hates The Coach so much. Honestly, I always thought the guy was fairly entertaining. I did a good job being a kiss ass to Erich Bischoff, or whoever else happened to be in charge. He'd have made a good GM for ECW, or heel manager for someone I think.
Any chances we can get a YouTube video of him on ESPN?

I'm very happy that Coach made it to the big leagues. While I hate ESPN, his "persona" will fit in quite well there.
I will miss him as Vince's stooge however. He played a great heel.

Good for Coach. I'm amazed his WWE stint didn't finish him off as a legitimate sports broadcaster. I think it probably helped that he was doing legit sports work while with WWE, like CSTV and such. Besides, it's what he started, so maybe WWE was just a hobby.

Since Coach got alot of crap from wrestling fans (hell I was one of them), I am glad to see that Coach upgraded his position in broadcast journalism. And like it or not, there would be more people who would kill for that Bristol, CT job instead of that Stamford, CT job.
