Okay, well I remember him reaching down and pulling that thing AFTER he got through beating everyone's ass and was on the truck. Not before hand. When I see it again I will verify this either way. Listen for the hiss of air right before he bends the gun barrel.

I always considered Gotham to be a Chicago type city anyway. That's fine, but this all started because someone told me Joker would make a mess out of Iron Man's hometown. Hence the New York part. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) For the record, I said "destroy his hometown" instead of destroy LA, cuz I sensed a Marvel Fanboy would've been like, "Dah, /He Doesn't Live There In The Comics!" ;D

Listen for the hiss of air right before he bends the gun barrel. Yeah I will, but I've seen it thrice now and at no time do I recall any hiss. If this is the only explanation they give then it's very vague, and quite frankly the only example of bad filmaking in the whole movie. For something that needs an explanation to be so debatable is a big oversite. My brother isn't the biggest Bat-Fan so this part of the scene really knocked him out of the moment. That's fine, but this all started because someone told me Joker would make a mess out of Iron Man's hometown. Not necessarily bad filmaking though if they use my "Robert Rodriguez Esque"* excuse. * - See, cuz in the "Once Upon A Time In Mexico" commentary, he said the scenes with Selma Hayek and whatnot were from the "phantom movie" between "Desperado" and the third one

I ragged on that style of film-making when The Matrix Reloaded did it, just because I love TDK doesn't mean I should ignore it for the same sins.

Honestly, Void's reasoning is making the most sense to me so far. If he was using that thing he cut into the car with he should have cut the barrel off, not grabbed and bent it.
I'm gonna pay a sharp eye on that part of the scene next time to make sure. I'm not saying the scene is bad filmaking (none of this movie is it's A FREAGIN AWESOME MOVIE!), but it's not good that such a debatable part of the scene isn't more clear.

Well, you never know, there just might be an "air-powered metal bender" deleted scene on the DVD. (Though, the Batman Begins DVD I got had no such material, so you probably have a point) For the record, I said "destroy his hometown" instead of destroy LA, cuz I sensed a Marvel Fanboy would've been like, "Dah, /He Doesn't Live There In The Comics!" ;D I'm not a Marvel fanboy. I'm a comic book fanboy. Well, I wasn't talking about you specifically, just the potential guy who'd have said that.

And make no mistake people, this is a small, trivial, insignificant mistake (if it is indeed one). By no means did it ruin anything for me (infact I love how badass and strong it makes Bats look). I wasn't complaining just pointing out that it's kind of a "WTF" moment for a split second. Then I'm to mesmorized by my second favorite character in comic book history marching down a line kicking everyones ass. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)

Make no mistake... Joker is great... Dent is great... all of them are great. But I am there for Batman. The first time I watched this movie, and I saw all the Batman-like things he did that he hasn't done in the previous movies... I got chills.
I love it. Batman makes the movie for me. He is a hero to me. Willing to sacrafice himself, to take the hard path, because it's the right thing to do.
It will always be about the Batman to me, because he stands for something I wish more people would stand for.
Which is also why I like Superman. All that power he could take over the world. But his real strength is his inner strength. Always choosing to do the right thing.

Because his whole planet blew up, and he doesn't want the same thing to happen here? Because like most normal people that choose to do good things he had a good upbringing?
I don't care about that. I just care about how I wish people could strive to be.

I just care about how I wish people could strive to be. Insufficient. Batman watched a criminal kill his parents, and so he goes after criminals. THAT makes sense.

Yeah. That makes sense. Not going to the psych ward. Dressing up as a bat and beating people to a pulp. That's a normal, sensical reaction. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) Superman is a kind hearted person with a good upbringing. That's all he needs. If you think knowing that his whole planet blew up, witness or not, doesn't drive him to want to protect Earth though, you're kidding yourself.

A douchebag.

Superman is your friend Batman. You shouldn't talk about him that way.
Also, Batman doesn't want revenge. If that's all he wanted Joe Chill is dead (in the movies). So it's over.

I just care about how I wish people could strive to be. Exactly. Like with those Batman documentarys last week, I was more interested in the psychology based one then the tech one, cuz I care more about WHY he fights crime, rather than HOW (Yeah, it kinda doesn't relate, but I just wanted to say that before I forgot it)

True vengeance will only be achieved when all criminals are dead like my parents.

But you don't kill Batman.
Also, I'm telling Superman what you said.... and I'm telling Flash and Green Lantern... and Martian Manhunter you bad mouthed them too.
