After the NES and SNES threads, I figured it was time to show some love for the Genesis. What games do you got? I got the Genesis Model 2. I saw a Genesis 3 afterwards for a cheap price $20, but sadly I was broke. Anyway, I got the following games... Sonic Sonic 2 Wiz 'n Liz High Sea Havoc Hard Drivin' Primal Rage Phantom 2040 Vectorman 2 Samurai Showdown Tecmo Superbowl NBA Action '95 Starring David Robinson Animaniacs WWF Super WrestleMania World Series Baseball X-Men 2 Clone Wars Eternal Champions (and the following with cases and/or instructions) Revolution X The Incredible Hulk NBA Jam: Tournament Edition T2: The Arcade Game WWF Royal Rumble Cyberball Galahad Triple Play '96 Quad Challenge The Lost Vikings Mario Andretti Racing Ecco The Dolphin Battletoads Road Rash II Quackshot Starring Donald Duck Outrun Madden '96 Oh... and Streets of Rage 3.

Loved my Genesis. Still have it and enjoy it today. Thunder Force III is the second greatest side-scrolling shooter I've ever played (#1 - UN Squadron).

I know where there's a copy of the first edition for $2... I should probably pick it up, but eh... it's not going anywhere anytime soon.

NBA Action '95 Starring David Robinson Thank you for owning this game. I've yet to actually pop it in and play. It was a dollar at the local Salvation Army, so I snagged it with some change I had in my pocket.

"Invisible Touch" is an awesome song.
Oh, SEGA Genesis.
Sadly, my Genesis (model 1. OLD SKOOL!) got stolen (along with my Sega CD. Yeah, I had one, wanna fight about it?) when I was about 12 or 13. Never owned much for either, really, since I usually just rented a lot of games.
I do own Sonic Mega Collection Plus for PlayStation 2, which features the following Genesis games:
Sonic the Hedgehog Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Sonic & Knuckles Sonic 3D Blast Sonic Spinball Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine Flicky Comix Zone The Ooze Ristar

Actually, he's on his second Sega CD as his brother plugged the wrong power cord into it. He was lucky enough to find a back up one cheap at a yard sale years ago, since the person who had it only had one game for it and couldn't find anymore so they figured it was worthless. He actually had to explain the different power cords to me. Dumb move by Sega. Especially considering Nintendo's ease when it came to cords, where the 64 av cord is the same as the SNES's.

Like other systems, my list has shown love for all three consoles that go together in the genesis, cd, and 32x. Of course there are great games for that system and until three years ago, I still had one.
Im sure anyone who knows enough about me would tell you that I am a fan of the Sega Genesis and its attachments.

I have a Genesis (two of them, actually. One of them even works!), but I never got around to buying any games for it. I have Time Killers and a copy of Mortal Kombat that I let my brother-in-law borrow about two years ago. I inherited all of my grandfather's NES games, and there was a random copy of Landstakers in the case with the manual, which I have no idea why he had. In all my years of going over there and playing his Nintendo, I'd never seen a Sega or any Sega-related items. Needless to say, I now have to dig my Sega out of my closet and get it hooked up. Also, one interesting thing about Sega is the sheer number of products you can actually play Genesis games with. There's the CDX: The Nomad (awesome): This random stereo: The Wondermega: The Laseractive: The Terra Drive: Not to mention the MegaJet, which was indeed made for airlines: (Here's to hoping that site allows hotlinking.)

A game you really need to play for the Genesis is Herzog Zwei. It's my favorite game for the Genesis. You also need to try Wings Of Wor/Gynoug, Truxton, and Thunderforce III like Insomiac said.

The only reason i had to have a Genesis back then was for TMNT: The Hyperstone Heist. Other than that, SNES all the way.

Hit up a yard sale today and for $5 I got a second second gen Sega (with two ABC controllers and a power supply. The deck looks in bad shape, but my bro has a good looking deck but no controllers, power supply or RF/AV... and I'd replaced my RF with an AV, so when he gets his ass out of jail I can hook him up). The best part was it came with 7 games. Also, I picked a few up at a yard sale a few months back so here's my updated list.
Sonic Sonic 2 x2 (got a second copy today) Sonic 3 (got today) Sonic & Knuckles (got today) Combat Cars (got today) Wiz 'n Liz High Sea Havoc Hard Drivin' Primal Rage Phantom 2040 Vectorman 2 Samurai Showdown Tecmo Superbowl NBA Action '95 Starring David Robinson Animaniacs WWF Super WrestleMania World Series Baseball X-Men 2 Clone Wars Eternal Champions
(and the following with cases and/or instructions)
Battle Toads Cyberball Ecco the Dolphin Galahad The Incredible Hulk The Lost Vikings Madden '96 Mario Andretti Racing NBA Jam: Tournament Edition NHLPA Hockey '93 OutRun Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure Quackshot Quad Challenge Ren & Stimpy: Stimpy's Adventure (got today) Revolution X Road Rash II Shinobi III (got today) Stargate Streets of Rage 3 Super Monaco GP T2 Triple Play '96 Triple Score (Super Hang-On, World Championship Soccer and Columns) Whac-A-Critter (got today) WWF Royal Rumble.
So yeah... I got 46 Genesis games now. It's funny, I don't live all that far from here I grew up, but that area was definitely Nintendo Country. Down here, the sheer amount of Sega games I come across is frightening. I missed out on quite a bit before I got my Sega, although I did buy Revolution X before I owned it as I got it for $3 in the case with instructions.
