Wow, Denver's defense is horrid, and it still was even with DJ Williams and Champ Bailey there.

If Cleveland scores a TD this drive, it's curtains for Denver.

Hate to say it, but TO is absolutely right there. They've been lethargic since week four.

Kellen Winslow is an awful football player. I wouldn't wish him on my worst enemy's favorite team.

I can't defend the way they've played the past month and a half. They've been bums, from the top down.

I'm sorry. If that's all the heart your team has that is pure pathetic. There have been a few teams year in year out where the analysts start talking in week 4 or 5 that the team needs to go back to basics and prepare for next year. I seem to remember Cincinatti being often mentioned. Defeats the whole fking purpose of sitting in traffic to go to a overpriced sporting event to freeze your ass off for a team that is gonna start mailing it in because they are 0-4. They are like perfectionist video gamers. If they can't win with a perfect they give up and act like a puss. I may have short term memory but I can't remember the last time I saw Arizona on Monday Night Football.

Report: Giants' Tuck fined New York, NY (Sports Network) - New York Giants defensive end Justin Tuck was reportedly fined $7,500 by the NFL for a hit against Dallas quarterback Brooks Bollinger this past Sunday. Tuck was penalized for roughing the passer on the play, which came in the third quarter of New York's 35-14 victory. It was, however, a questionable call. The New York Times received an e-mail message from Randall Liu, the information manager for the National Football Conference, that stated Tuck was fined because "he unnecessarily drove the opposing quarterback to the ground." There is a rule against such actions, adopted by the NFL to protect quarterbacks, but replays appeared to show that Tuck's hit may have been legal -- or at least borderline. Tuck, as Bollinger released a pass that fell incomplete, hit the quarterback with his shoulder and fell on top of him in the process of finishing the play. The referee, in making the penalty announcement, said Tuck used his full weight against the quarterback. The Times quoted Tuck as saying he would appeal the fine. "You can't hit him in the head, you can't hit him below the knees," Tuck told the paper about where you can and can't hit a quarterback. "Obviously, you can't hit him hard, either." Giants coach Tom Coughlin, during his press conference on Monday following the game, said he didn't think a penalty should have been called on the hit. www.sportsnetwork.com/merge/tsnform.aspx?c=sportsnetwork&page=nfl/news/newstest.aspx?id=4189539------------------------------------------------------------- If they're going to fine Justin Tuck for that....then they should also look at Jared Allen. nfl.fanhouse.com/2008/11/05/more-video-on-jared-allens-low-hits-on-matt-schaub-dirty-or-no/If they're going to go THAT far protecting Brooks Bollinger, they should give Schaub SOMETHING.

That second hit was definitely a cheap shot, and if that had been Brady or Manning or Romo, it would have been ALL over ESPN and Allen would have been crucified. The ball was gone a good couple seconds before he even made a move to "tackle" (if a chop block can be considered a tackle).
But considering the league didn't fine Lawyer Malloy for helmet-jacking LJ Smith one step closer to Foleyville, the whole system is screwed up. It wouldn't shock me if JERRUH was blowing up the commishes phone to try to get a fine out.
Either the league needs more uniformity in their fines or they should just let it go. There's no reason to continue to fine if players who follow the rules get fined and others continue to cheap shot and don't get anything.

According to the Washington Post, the Redskins are in the running for DeAngelo Hall. They are looking to sign him for the rest of the year, and then work out a long term deal if everything goes well.
