Anybody else think this game is underrated? It was one of the first action games that pulled off a boss that was pursuing you well. I just think that the reason it isn't held as high as Resident Evil 2 is because the action is limited to Jill (plus a short time as Carlos)

This is one of those games that I've been meaning go get back into for years. I got close to the end, where the Nemesis jumps off the building for the final battle, where he launches smurfing missles at you from 20 feet away!! Needless to say, no matter how hard I tried, I never beat it. That always pissed me off. In fact, I bought RE 4 for the Gamecube years ago, and still haven't opened it because I refuse to play it before I beat RE 3.
Yes, I'm a little OCD when it comes to my video games.

Resident Evil 4 is incredible and I suggest you to beat it before Resident Evil 5 comes out this March.

What a great game. My friend and I recently busted out RE3 when we couldn't get my PS2 running and enjoyed ourselves immensely... until he ran into Nemesis and was quickly killed.

RE3 was the one RE I did not like. I liked the puzzles and atmosphere and all that, but I did not like how the game hinged on the Nemesis battles so much -- the controls made it way too difficult for me to do battle with him.
I never had a problem with RE's "tank" controls, because for an adventure and exploration game, the controls suited it just fine. However RE3 seemed to have boss battles that were simply too intense for its control scheme, making it hard for me.
One of these days I should do back and try to finish it though... just so I can say I did it.

If you really want to feel inadequate, look up on Youtube a video that showcases fighting (and beating) the Nemesis with only a handgun and a knife.

The only thing I hated about Nemesis was that damn Water Sample Puzzle

The game was never even supposed to exist, so I can understand why it's underrated. Because it was just rushed to production so Capcom could dodge a contract breach from Sony.
(I'll post the long version of this if anyone wants it.)

RE3 was awesome. Nemesis is one of the best boss battles that chase you around the game.

Super Tank, if it isn't too much trouble I would read it.
I loved RE3, but thought it may be the easiest in the series.

Super Tank, if it isn't too much trouble I would read it. I loved RE3, but thought it may be the easiest in the series. I MAY be wrong, but this is how I always heard it. *deep breath* Alright, kids, today I'm gonna tell you the story of Resident Evil 3. YAAAAAAY!!!Okey dokey, here's how it goes: Once upon a time, Capcom was working on a game called Resident Evil: Code Veronica. Who remembers that, kids? *A few kids raise their hands.* Good! Now then, Code Veronica was supposed to be released originally on Playstation. Sony was very happy, because Resident Evil is guaranteed money, no matter how much it sucks. (Survivor...) Then, one day, a magical device that I think we all remember came along: The Dreamcast. *A kid raises his hand.* Yes, Jimmy? What's a Dreamcast?*SLAP!* QUIET, YOU! ...Anyways, when Sega released the Dreamcast, Capcom realized how much prettier and coolier games looked on it compared to Playstation. So, Capcom decided to move Code Veronica to the Dreamcast. Everyone was happy... ...except for Sony. Sony had a contract. A contract for a Resident Evil game. And with Code Veronica gone, Sony still needed a Resident Evil game. So, Capcom decided to throw together a piece of crap and called it Resident Evil 3. Fortunately, it came out pretty decent. Not bad, but not great. Some new and novel concepts, but overall it was an average game, to be frank. The End. Now somebody go get my whisky, or I'm slappin' Jimmy again! *starts rambling about wondering where the hell Carlos ended up and who thought TOFU was a good idea for a character*

*throws whisky bottle at Amigo* YOU'RE INSANE, YOU ARE!!! *throws whisky bottle again* How the hell did I just do that? If you can't have fun playing as a giant piece of Tofu with a knife killing Zombies, then you are no fun. That, and I think Tofu was in Resident Evil 2.

Yep, RE2 was Leon, Claire, Hunk, Tofu...um...Chris, and I think Ada was playable in that one's whatever it was called mode. RE3 was Carlos, Nick, and.....uh......the other Russian guy. I forget their names.

Ironic because RE3 turned out to be way better than Code Veronica.

Ironic because RE3 turned out to be way better than Code Veronica. I object.........eh, they sucked equally, I'm not gonna lie. Code Veronica wins out in the end, though. Why? Wesker. That's why. Now shut up.
