Well...let's hope Rob actually learned something from his last venture into this franchise...and let's hope he at least makes a consistent film this time around.

Apparently it'll be titled H2, since Universal owns the rights to the Halloween II (or 2) name.

I'll rent it, just to see if he can do anything seriously different or compelling this time.

Halloween had some flaws but the ending was awesome. Sucks that they are gonna ruin that with a sequel...

I like rob zombies halloween, it was good. Carpenter is a snorking hack. ;D Hooray! Someone else who likes the Zombie remake more! I know a lot of people put the original on a pedestal, but it made me bored since I was a kid. The remake was actually very entertaining to me.

I respect everyone's opinions, but I have to say, in my own eyes, the remake came across as really, really schizophrenic. Like, (as I have said every time this comes up), Rob made a great, original vision, his version of the movie, for the first HALF. Then, footage leaked, or test screenings bombed or whatever, and he got scared, nervous, and decided to tank his original vision and make a straight up remake of Halloween for the second and final half of the film, and either due to time, budget or both he left the first half how it was, rather than reshooting it.
I enjoyed the first half of it, but overall, it was just too damned uneven, and had too many problems for me to like it. The original will always be the better film in my mind, but godammit Rob TRIED. I have to give him that.

Tyler Mane better be coming back too... HAHAHA! I'm actually AGAINST this, but I laugh not at your post, but because at THIS point, he kind of HAS to. I mean, either that, or Rob gets someone who's equally monstrous for the role. THAT was one of my main gripes about the remake, though. Jason Voorhees: Engine of destruction. A freigtrain of a man, akin to Van Vader (in his prime) in size and ferocity. Freddy Kreuger: Normal sized, kind of skinny pedophile who is more psychological than outright brutally physical. Leatherface: Redneck behemoth that literally will go THROUGH a wall rather than around it. Again, like Jason, brawn over brains. Michael Myers: Normal sized human, moves with almost ninja like stealth and silence. Will kill you before you even know he's there. Can be brutally physical, but prefers to kill with one or two quick hits. Now, I think Rob confused Leatherface with Michael in the first one, because in Zombie's version, Myers was more akin to Leatherface than ANYTHING else. He rampaged around, was a hulking, mute, almost retarded brute, and lacked only a chainsaw to make the comparison complete.

I also liked Rob Zombie's Halloween. So much in fact that I bought it a second time when the 3 disc version came out. The four and a half hour documentary about the making of it is almost as good as the movie itself. So yeah....I'm interested in a sequel.

I guess it's cool to have a sequel except I don't think it's really necessary. I felt the remake stood on it's own merits and the only thing I didn't like was that the person playing Jamie Lee Curtis' character from the original just didn't seem strong, or interesting enough. But the origin of Micheal Myers was cool and honestly his remake was one of the better horror movies in a long time.
