How many people remember how awesome USA used to be?
I mean, they had American Gladiators, WWF programming, Up All Night, and that cheesy Commander USA guy...

I do. I miss Weird Science, although the first two seasons are on hulu. I also dug the Swamp Thing show, the Street Fighter cartoon, Duckman, Pacific Blue, Up All Night, and more I'm prob. forgetting.
I think they're getting back on track now. I really dig Burn Notice. Monk and The Starter Wife seem to have strong fanbases. I gave In Plain Sight a try and didn't think it was bad, but I didn't care for it.

What about the long-running partner of Monday Night RAW, La Femme Nikita?

Which one came first: this thread, or the Silk Stalkings thread a bit down the page here? Because I refuse to believe one wasn't launched because of the other...

I go back even farther-the 80's-Calliope, Prime Time Wrestling & TNT. All American Wrestling. It was a better channel then IMO because people put forth an EFFORT. Showing "House" all day might please millions of people, but it takes no effort at all. Trying new things, experimenting-that's effort

I think you're all forgetting the afternoons Monday-Friday where they aired tons of great game shows like $25,000/$100,000 Pyramid, Press Your Luck, Hollywood Squares, Tic Tac Dough, The Joker's Wild, Sale of the Century, Scrabble. My god, it was much fun to watch on an afternoon and spend time with Dick, Peter, John, Wink, Pat, Jim, Chuck, Bill, Patrick and others.

The silk stalkings thread came first, but I was looking up commander USA on google when i made the thread. I never watched Silk Stalkings.

The New USA has Psych.
The Old USA had... um, not Psych.
New USA WINS!
I do miss the Cartoon Express though, and Press Your Luck.

But definitely this... And that... Underrated, a bit, but this... aaaaaaaaaand this. Trying new things, experimenting-that's effort Agreed, but sadly trying new things = money. These days, it's even more money. Eventually they stop spending the money on cool things that don't MAKE lots of money.

I used to LOVE USA. Besides Raw and Prime Time (I wish they still did that show so I could watch house show matches), I loved Weird Science and Duckman. Their teen show, USA High, was really lame but I still watched it because they had the drummer from California Dreams in it.
I also loved the "USAM" block when they played old sitcoms in the morning. Wings, Working, Hearts Afire, the one with the villain from Crocodile Dundee in L.A., I loved it all. Plus, they also had the sweet wonderous Mortal Kombat cartoon.

How I loved USA Network. Not only WWF programming, but they had USA UP! All Night, Commander USA, those cheesey n' sleazy low budget made for USA Network movies (which were GREAT) AND Cartoon Express (that had the Problem Child cartoon).
USA Network has followed in TNT's footsteps, in just showing the same television shows ad nauseum and an actual MOVIE on a rare occasion.

I loved the old USA Network.
I remember when they used to show reruns of Double Trouble and the short lived Uncle Buck Series. They also used to show Don Adams' sitcom Check It Out.
Of my favorite things about the channel then was Cartoon Express, Commander USA, Up All Night with Rhonda Shear and Gilbert Gottfried, Weird Science, Saturday Nightmares and The Hitchhiker.
Good times.

let's see...
Night Flight, Cartoon Express, the old Game shows, all the WWF programing, Swamp Thing... even near the end when they gave that god awful Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat Cartoons and Sailor Moon...and Mighty Max...and Wing Commander! and oo!! Exo Squad!
I think I hit all the awesome shows. Still is awesome with Monk, Psych, and hours upon hours of Law and Order....
they need to give Sailor Moon again in between episodes of Law and Order. That will be ratings gold.
