Thanks for doing this.
I think I got my list in, heh.
Interesting concept, brought back a lot of memories compiling the list though.

The first three specials (which tied for 50th place) will be up a bit later tonight. A new entry will be posted every day until Christmas Eve. I'll include a plot summary and a youtube (when I can find them) clip with each one.
To tide you over, here are a few hints about the first three specials:
* Hermits know how to throw a Christmas party! * These have to be the dumbest parents ever. * If you mail the Jeep home a piece at a time, its not technically stealing.

Okay, here we go:
50(tie). Yogi's First Christmas
IMDB Plot Summary: Yogi and his little pal, Boo Boo, are usually hibernating during the Christmas season, but this year they are awakened when Huckleberry Hound, Snagglepuss, Augie Doggie and Doggie Daddy come to Jellystone Lodge for the holiday. But the Lodge's owner, Mrs. Throckmorton, is sad because the lodge may close due to some strange occurrences last season. Little does she know that her miserable nephew, Snively, and Herman the Hermit were behind those pranks, and they're out to spoil everyone's Christmas celebration this year, too. But Yogi outsmarts them every time! Then in the midst of the festivities, Santa Claus plummets down the chimney bearing a picnic basket full of food for Yogi. Yogi, however, falls asleep, due to his natural instincts of hibernation. Santa then says that Yogi and BooBoo can have the basket when they wake up in the spring.

50 (tie). Dear Dad (M*A*S*H episode, first season) Wikipedia Plot Summary: Hawkeye writes home to his father during the Christmas season, relating a number of amusing and personal anecdotes including Radar's effort to mail home a jeep piece-by-piece, the monthly morality lecture, Trapper's local medical philanthropy, and the ongoing non-secret relationship between Frank and Hot Lips. Hawkeye dresses to play Santa Claus for the local children, but is required to go to the front line via helicopter to treat an emergency, which he does in-costume. That's it for tonight, here's some hints for tomorrow: * "The day that I’ll need your help in the kitchen is the day that I’ll stop cooking!!" * “That is about as funny as Sinbad.”

Just out of curiousity, am I the only one to submit the All in the Family episode at #54? I just ask because despite it being a classic TV series, but as far as Christmas specials it is pretty obscure. Atleast I seem to have gotten 11/15 in there I think so. The bottom portion of the list features a lot of titles that just made one person's list. I'll post the point totals when I do the full recap at the end. Today's entry will be up around 8-ish. I wish I could find longer clips for these two, but they are entertaining clips nonetheless. One in particular has a very high WTF rating. You'll see what I mean.

Here are the two specials that are tied at 48:
48(tied) X-Men: Have Yourself a Morlock Little Christmas
All Movie Guide Plot Summary: In their first (and last) holiday episode, the X-Men take time out from saving the Universe to celebrate Christmas. Joining the festivities is the team's newest member, Jubilee. While on a Christmas Eve shopping excursion with an enthusiastic Storm and a truculent Wolverine, Jubilee is caught up in a crisis involving a mortally ill Morlock child named Leech. As Wolverine experiences a Scrooge-like epiphany, Jean and Gambit's kitchen argument threatens to escalate into an all-out war of wills. "Have Yourself a Morlock Little Christmas" first aired in December of 1995.
48 (tied). A Very Special Family Guy Freakin' Christmas
Wikipedia Plot Summary: After Lois repeatedly reminds Peter to donate a present to charity, he mistakenly donates all of the family's Christmas gifts to a needy kids' charity. Lois seems unfazed by the mistake, but insists that the entire family shop for new presents at the mall. Peter reluctantly agrees, although he only wants to watch Kiss Saves Santa on television; Brian stays behind to keep an eye on the turkey cooking in the oven. Lois encourages Stewie to star as baby Jesus in a nativity scene during the Quahog Christmas pageant. Although Stewie initially resists, he eventually plays along in hopes of pleasing Santa, who he believes is omnipotent and thereby can supply him with plutonium.
Meanwhile at the Griffin house, an ember shoots onto the family rug from the fireplace; while Brian tries to deal with this crisis, the overcooked turkey begins to burn. Brian finds a fire extinguisher, but to his dismay it is merely a novelty item filled with plastic snakes, which, upon being released into the fire, promptly explode and make it worse. The interior of the house is destroyed, but Brian escapes with minor burns. Amazingly, Lois maintains a cheerful attitude, saying that they just need to clean up a bit; but when Meg tells her that there are no more paper towels, Lois freaks out, in a parody of the "wire hangers" scene from Mommie Dearest. She screams at the family about how difficult it is to ensure that Christmas happens without a hitch, then runs from the ruined house on a rampage (Meg then finds some paper towels mere seconds after Lois' rampage).
Lois storms through town, berating happy people, enjoying the season for their ridiculous optimism. When she reaches the town square, she begins to climb the huge Christmas tree there, bent on destroying the ornamental star on top. The rest of the family arrives and Stewie, eager to perform a good deed to earn Santa's grace, performs an extemporaneous monologue about Jesus and the meaning of Christmas. Lois, watching Stewie, regains her sanity and begins to descend the tree; at that moment the police shoot her with a powerful tranquilizer dart at Peter's urging. The next morning at Christmas, the family has gathered in the charred living room, happily opening their presents; Stewie gets his plutonium, Peter gets his own copy of Kiss Saves Santa, Brian gets a new jumper as seen in the picture, and Lois, as Peter would put it, is as cheerful as ever, despite still being heavily sedated, sitting limply in a rocking chair and drooling. In the closing scene, the Griffins wishes everyone a Merry Christmas (though Lois is still too numb to speak clearly).

The next entry will be up tonight. Here's some clues:
* Singing mice. Lots of singing mice. * There’s always something special at Macy’s * Something is in the air, and it ain’t Santa’s Reindeer.

47. Twas the Night Before Christmas (1974, Rankin/Bass)
(Full special)
Wikipedia Plot Summary: Twas the Night Before Christmas, the 1974 Rankin-Bass animated Christmas television special based on the famous 1823 poem that opens with this line. In this television special, set in the town of Junctionville in a world where humans and intelligent humanoid mice apparently openly interact at least on a professional basis, Santa Claus is offended by an anonymous letter printed in the town's newspaper claiming that he doesn't exist. In response, Santa returns the entire town's letters (the letter was signed "all of us") to him unopened. Upon reading the anonymous letter printed in the newspaper, Father Mouse (voiced by George Gobel) — a mouse assistant to the human clockmaker Joshua Trundle (voiced by Joel Grey, the credited narrator) — immediately suspects that his brainy son Albert is its author. Albert (voiced by Tammy Grimes) confirms his suspicions, repeating the letter verbatim to him.
Father Mouse and the Trundle Family devise a plan to appease Santa by building a singing clock tower for him, built with a special recording to play a song to coax him into visiting Junctionville on Christmas Eve. Unfortunately, Albert enters the clock to explore it without permission, and inadvertently damages it seriously, thus rendering it inoperable and seriously damaging Trundle's professional reputation. Furthermore, the mayor, publicly embarrassed at the clock tower's failure, refuses to give the clockmaker access to it for repairs. Confessing his mistake, Albert volunteers to repair it himself and Father Mouse tells Joshua of the situation before waiting at his bed with worry on Christmas Eve. Although Albert does not complete his task until about one minute after the Midnight deadline, the clock does play its song within earshot of Santa which convinces him to visit the town after all.
45(tied). The Christmas Invasion (Dr.Who)
Wikipedia Plot Summary: It is Christmas, but there is little cause for celebration as planet Earth is invaded by aliens known as the Sycorax. It's up to Rose and the newly-regenerated Tenth Doctor to save humanity, with a bit of help from her boyfriend Mickey and her mother Jackie. But can Rose trust a man with a new face?
45(tied). Miracle on 34th Street
IMDB Plot Summary: At the Macy's Department Store Thanksgiving Day parade, the actor playing Santa is discovered to be drunk by a whiskered old man. Doris Walker, the no nonsense special events director, persuades the old man to take his place. The old man proves to be a sensation and is quickly recruited to be the store Santa at the main Macy's outlet. While he is successful, Ms. Walker learns that he calls himself Kris Kringle and he claims to be the actual Santa Claus. Despite reassurances by Kringle's doctor that he is harmless, Doris still has misgivings, especially when she has cynically trained herself, and especially her daughter, Susan, to reject all notions of belief and fantasy. And yet, people, especially Susan, begin to notice there is something special about Kris and his determination to advance the true spirit of Christmas amidst the rampant commercialism around him and succeeding in improbable ways. When a raucous conflict with the store's cruelly incompetent psychologist erupts, Kris finds himself held at Bellevue where, in despair, he deliberately fails a mental examination to ensure his commitment. All seems lost until Doris' friend, Fred Gaily, reassure Kris of his worth and agrees to represent him in the fight to secure his release. To achieve that, Fred arranges a formal hearing in which he argues that Kris is sane because he is in fact Santa Claus. What ensues is a bizarre hearing in which people's beliefs are reexamined and put to the test, but even so, it's going to take a miracle for Kris to win.
