Well, the last time I think I used my VCR with much frequency was to tape episodes of Transformers Animated, and that was mainly for my girlfriend, since she usually has to work Saturdays. Eventually, I'll just buy the season sets on DVD, and have no use for the tapes.
Oh, and last July 4th, I watched my old VHS copy of Independence Day. Held up surprisingly well for a tape that's been in my stuffy bedroom unplayed for God knows how many years.

The earliest vhs tapes i can think that I watched were probably the old FHE releases of The Transformers.
I actually picked up 2 or 3 of these videos from junk piles at video stores. They still play fine after 24 years.

Eh, the only thing they are useful for now is to record stuff, and theres better ways of doing that now. I just hope it doesnt become "cool" to use VCRs now...

I still use my VCR on a regular basis, in junction with my DVR whenever I start running low on space.
I'm too cheap to buy an external hard drive.

I have a VCR only because I have so much porn on VHS tapes I'm too lazy to transfer to DVD.

*looks over at the pile of porno and taped wrestling on VHS*
*looks back at the Disney VHS collection from the early 90's*
Goldmine or toss 'em in the time capsule?

Goldmine or toss 'em in the time capsule? Do you keep them organized in their own sections? It might raise eyebrows to have porn, pro wrestling and Disney sharing the same shelf space. Keep em all.
