so, these last couple weeks or so I've been hanging out with this girl who is pretty awesome. Not like, super hot or anything, but definitely cute and has an awesome personality and everything. She comes over to my dorm and study and we sit together in class and everything. Today, I find out from one of her friends that she's a lesbian. And this isn't some cocky "well if she doesn't like me, then she has to be a lesbian" things. Like, she actually is a full on lesbian, from what he said.
Chalk another one up in the "Weezer's 'Pinkerton' really does tell the story of my life" column.

Dude, that kinda sucks. Happened to many of us, though. At least when I got hit with it, it was delivered in a slightly funny way, at least in retrospect. I got the line "I love hanging out with you, we have so much in common", so I'm thinking, "yay, it's working". She then procedeswith, "you know, we like the same movies, same books, we ahve the same taste in women, it's just awesome". I just look at her and say "so you're telling me what I think you're telling me?" and she says "what, you didn't know?" and, us being freinds anyway, she mercilessly picks on me for about a week.

Happened to me a few months ago. We were at this chick's 21st b-day, and some of us got drunk and started wrestling. Well this one girl wrestles me over away from the ground, pins me to the ground and lays one on me. A few minutes later, I walk over to one of her friends and I say "Dude, she just kissed me over there."
"Really? She's a lesbian."
I figured she was just speculating and I thought to myself, "Nah, that's not true."
2 days later I add her as a friend to Facebook. Yeah, she had a girlfriend. Not one of them "Hehe, we're Facebook lesbians!" No, a real lesbian.
I kissed a lesbian... and it was awesome.

Yeah, it happened to me in high school.
This cute girl, funny with my sense of humor.
Odd thing about her, she's on my MySpace list and she wrote me to thank me for reposting a "repost if you support gay marriage" bulletin and she didn't repost. The person that it doesn't affect posted, but the person that thanked me for supporting it didn't.

Maybe she's not a lesbian and had an active heterosexual sexual backstory but then she realized all men were pigs and turned "lesbian." Just don't ask for a threeway at the end. I give up.

It's really not such a bad thing. I mean, it's MUCH better that this happens now that you end up marrying her or whatever and then she tells you she's a lesbian. That would be loads worse. At least now you can at the very least pursue her as a friend.
