Tegan and Sara do an amazing acoustic version of Dancing in the Dark I appreciate the fact it's each to their own etc, but that was terrible. Lol. My acoustic tracks, there are a lot and of course they change daily but, The acoustic Version Growin' Up by Bruce Springsteen is inspiring, as are the acousic versions of Born to Run & Bobby Jean. The live versions, when did acoustically, are something else entirely than the original songs. Eva Cassidys version of Imagine is breathtaking, and of course, so are a lot of her other songs. Creep by Radiohead is so powerful, especially when done with just an acoustic guitar and Thom Yorkes voice. A lot of Neil Young songs, a lot of Bob Marley, Nirvana, Ray LaMontagne, Rodriquez, Manu Chao & even Guillemots songs are acoustically brilliant, but with added strings etc so I suppose they can't count. There are literally thousands of great acoustic songs. With songs such as Stereophonics' take on Nothing Compares to You are so impressive because of how powerful volume can be at a minimal level, and you get it well with acoustic songs. I feel for the thread starter about Extreme "having everthing," that has to be sarcasm lol!
