yeah, I'm not laughing at you in particular either, but this kinda makes me chuckle, since for the past year or so whenever I mention the word "Ipod" its immediently met with someone saying "Zune is better in every way...".

Yeah...."Zune Snobs" are a royal pain. This co-worker I'm talking about...he's a pretty big one, and never wastes any time telling me about how much better his 30gb Zune is than my 60gb iPod. "MINE has a full color background, customizable at will!" Yeah...what kind of colors are you seeing NOW, jackass?

Just not the original 30 gig ones. It took the second generation model to make them on par with the iPod. The first gen kinda sucked, especially the firmware.

Yeah, I have two that are f***ed. One I don't think is under warranty but, the other might be. Between this and the 360, Microsoft is digging a deep grave.

Probably just a software problem that will be fixed with a patch within 72 hours.
Still hilarious, though.

I don't see it though. With computers not recognizing them thanks to the freeze issue, I'll be interested to see how they would go about applying a patch.

My Sansa e250 did something similar the other day, just a few days after I'd gotten it. Luckily I found a solution online, and a new firmware download. Maybe there's something like that out there for the Zune?

Well, according to the Zune support forums, the leap year is the problem and all should be working again by noon on the 1st. You just have to let the battery die and recharge after noon tomorrow.

I've been happy with my Zune Pass and free 10 tracks per month. Just picked up the new Metallica album for gratis. You can't beat that! My wife and I have had our Zunes for over a year and this is the first problem we have had with them so I can't complain.

Yeah, this happened to my 30 gig in the morning.
I'll recharge it after the 1st like they said. This is really the first issue I've had with it, and it there's already a fix.
Still amusing though.

As if I didn't want a Zen Creative or the Ipod Touch enough. Now I'll be forced to listen to crappy holiday music at the family party tonight.
