His ICONIC role, to me, will always be RAIN MAN. That's definitely not his only one. Dorothy Michaels and Ted Kramer are as iconic as he was in Rain Man. However, Rain Man barely edges out those two along with Hook for me. Needless to say, Hoffman has had a loaded career.
