Ok, going to go over a few of the reasons he hates Mike. Let's see if I agree. * He apparently beat his wife.-Brian wasn't a great family man either, offering cocaine to his young daughter Carnie one drugged out night. * He rewrote the Leiber/Stoller song “Riot in Cell Block 9″ into the song “Student Demonstration Time”, which sucks ass, yet somehow made it onto the Surf’s Up album while excellent songs by Dennis such as “4th of July” and “Fallin’ in Love” stayed in the can. (Of course, Dennis got the ultimate revenge agains his longtime foe by marrying Mike’s illegitimate daughter and giving him a grandson just to piss him off.)-Agreed. Student Demonstration Time is the shits while Lady is amazing. I don't like 4th of July as much as the others. * His cousin Stan, along with Rocky Pamplin, kicked down Dennis’ door and beat the shit out of him, messing up his larnyx and ruining his voice.-The reason for this is that Dennis was giving Brian drugs at a time he was trying to get his life back in order. Sadly, Dennis probably deserved the beating. * He really got into transcendental meditation, and just wouldn’t stop writing shitty songs about it.-Agreed. TM Song on 15 Big Ones is one of the worse * He pushed a very obviously mentally ill and terrified Brian onstage as part of the “Brian’s Back!” campaign, and even wrote a song called “Brian’s Back” in which he pretended to like him.-I don't see how the song creates the vision that Mike pretended to be Brian. Also, Brian had just had a stint with Landy in 1976 and seemed to be comfortable back in the spotlight including a VERY truthful interview with Mike Douglass. * He’s an alleged racist.-I hate it when people throw out racism claims with no proof * He thinks no one will notice he’s bald if he just keeps wearing a hat.-Yup. He's very guilty of this ;D * He created a TV miniseries full of revisionist history to glorify his own contributions to the band and take credit for a lot of things he never actually did. He also used it to give the impression that John Lennon wanted to jam with him, although Lennon is quoted as calling him a “jerk”.-Yeah, "An American Band" is pretty bad as it also calls Van Dyke Parks a "pusher" * He sued Brian over songwriting credits he claimed he never received, which might have been due to his not actually having done the songwriting he claims to have done.-Mike mostly sued due to the fact Brian's father screwed her over in royalities by having a secret deal with Brian. * He was a real dick to lyricist Van Dyke Parks during the Smile era, and even 20 years later, took a cheap shot at him on the “Wipeout” single the Beach Boys did with the Fat Boys.-He and Van Dyke clashed but where's the reference to him in Wipeout? * He introduced himself to Sean O’Hagan of the High Llamas, a huge Beach Boys fan who Bruce Johnston brought in to produce an album for them, by saying, as soon as he met him at the airport, “You’re English, right? Aren’t all you English guys fags?”-I don't see this as Mike being homophobic. He was probably trying to go for a bad pun (Fag is slang for cigarette in the UK) * He went on a drunken, bizarre, classless rant when the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, calling out the Beatles, Mick Jagger, Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen, the Supremes, and possibly the MC5, for no discernible reason.-Mike has claimed he was on a fast associated with his TM at the time. Don't know if it's true or not * His solo albums suck, even for Beach Boys solo albums, which mostly kind of suck to start with.-Albums? He only had one (though there are a few that were unreleased.) * He is responsible for “Kokomo”. And he’s proud of it.-I still assert that Kokomo is a nice, fun little tune. * He’s still alive, while Dennis and Carl are dead.-I despise it when people make statements like that.
So in conclusion, while Mike has done many stupid things he has also shined at moments (his vocals on All I Wanna Do, compositions like Big Sur, etc...)

Something never sat right with me when he appeared on Full House without the rest of the Beach Boys.
