I've been on the darts for about fifteen years and today I went in for pre-pump training. It's time for me to get the portable IV.
they got all kinds of new gadgets now for insulin pumps. They got a wireless one with no tubes that you push a button on the remote and it sticks you with the needle and fills you up. They have one with a blood sugar monitor in it so that it automatically reads your sugars constantly and adjusts your pump automatically. They have one that sends the data it collects from your blood sugars and insulin intake to your computer. They even have one that has a carb index in it just so you know just how much carbs are in whatever you're eating.
My problem is...I really don't want this thing. I'm prefectly happy with my needles. The problem is my blood sugar just doesn't want to stay normal anymore, so this is the next logical step. Anyone out there have a helping hand to lend?
