How dare you call the Mets a B team! To be fair, it isn't just Latino Lucky Meat, the New York media basically calls the Mets the B Team as well. Thank you, Mr. Drakin. Darryl Strawberry and Doc Gooden didn't make the big time til they donned pinstripes

You know something I find funny also about the whole Jake INT thing? He had two bad games this year where he threw 7 INTs. That means the rest of the year, 14 games, he only threw 5 INTs. That's pretty damn good. He only had 12 all year.

Besides, I'm a Mets/Devils/Giants fan; trust me, seeing as how the Jets left Queens ages ago, there are now plenty of Mets/Giants fans. Hell, there's a ton of Yankees/Jets fans, since they were each going through a "glory days" phase in the late 90's. Anyways, GMen are rested and ready. It's always tough vs. the Iggles, but I think they'll pull it out. I predicted a Giants/Steelers Super Bowl quite awhile ago, but I'm not exactly betting the farm on it.

Come on, Giant and Panther fans, lets hope for a Giant / Panther rematch. Anyway, the national media and maybe even the Philadelphia media makes the Giants / Eagles game as a sequal to the Mets / Phillies rivalory. They obviously don't understand New York sports fans. Fans in New York that both baseball and football fans, Most Met fans are Jet fans, while most Giant fans are Yankee fans. This is the other side of town that Phildelphia is going up against. Same thing with the Jets / Patirots, that is not Yankees / Red Sox, because the New York fans are not the same. I understand, and always thought that way as well. Only, in my mind, the Mets/Jets are the B teams, and the Yanks/Giants the A teams. Thats how it kind of plays out in New York as well. To best explain, consider New York as five unique sections: Western NY, Upstate NY, NYC and Long Island. There's pockets of fans in every area, but to best sum up: - Western NY: Bills, Sabres (NHL is bigger than MLB) - Upstate NY: Giants, Yankees - NYC: Giants, Yankees - Long Island: Mets, Jets The Giants and Yankees are the "gold standard", the historic organizations with championships and a pedigree. Upstate NY is about 80% Giants fans and 90% Yankees fans. NYC is hard to really peg, but its definitely pro-Yankee and seemingly mostly pro-Giants. The Mets and Jets are occasionally the upstarts, but more often than not, the loveable losers who let their teams down. Long Island (from my few trips out there) are where the fans seem to have numbers. Once you start seeing Wegmans, you're in Bill's country where the Jets are hated rivals and the Giants are not to be forgiven for taking away that Bills' teams one good chance at a Super Bowl. Do not utter "wide right" if you're sporting anything with a Giants logo on it. The Bills, despite being the only "true" NY team aren't even considered a NY team (though Toronto may have something to say about that fact in the near future). The Jets don't really have the history of the Giants and are further set back by being their tennants in Giants Stadium. I'm not a big baseball buff, but I don't really need to elaborate why the Yankees get the most attention of the clubs in NY do I? That said, for whatever reason, the fans typically line up: - Giants/Yankees/Knicks/Rangers - Mets/Jets/Nets/Islanders I don't know why, but that's how it seems to be and there's a lot more of the first group than the second.

LOL I like how nobody is giving the Titans a chance to win. This team ain't flashy, they don't have "Divas" nor do they want trophies handed to them before the season starts. This team is so use to being looked pasted at, talked down to and shown no respect whats so ever. To that I say, awesome. This team likes living under the radar, because they do it's talking on the field. For a team that has been called "Over-rated" and "Lucky" must have never seen a Titans game before and know how they take care of business. And while Baltimore's vaunted defense is likely going to get more attention heading into the game -- in large part because of what it did against the Dolphins while the Titans rested at home, Tennessee was second in NFL scoring defense this season and Baltimore was third. I remember the game against the Steelers.....scoreboard brotha!

Yeah, I know... RBI Baseball on the NES taught me that. Although, even in digital form, the Mets weren't all that great - Giants/Yankees/Knicks/Rangers - Mets/Jets/Nets/Islanders Finally, some logic here I see it the same way.

Go Eagles and Titans and to a lesser extent the Panthers(I wouldn't mind if the Cards win, I just don't think they will) and Ravens(Hate both the Ravens and the Steelers but I can't standing listening to a week about the whole Titans stepping on the Terrible Towel thing again)

I feel the Giants will win against Philly but im dreading their inevitable rematch with Carolina.
I don't really see Carolina losing twice, and im starting to have flashbacks to their 2005 playoff matchup.
Assuming the Giants win the NFC and win the SB, the Giants will for the first time in franchise history have won back to back championships.
NFL Championships
1927 1934 1938 1956 SB 21 SB 25 SB 42
If the Giants win it again should this be considered the best NYG team of all time?
In other news ESPN is on and off making hanky panky about the Colts not getting a fair shake in OT against SD.
This rule is gonna change eventually.

In other news ESPN is on and off making hanky panky about the Colts not getting a fair shake in OT against SD. This rule is gonna change eventually. I'm not using that as an excuse as for why they lost. They have a defense just like San Diego, they should have stopped Sproles and co. and not been so sloppy as to net those three penalties. Even before that, Peyton didn't have to hold on to the ball for ages while an untouched line backer came flying down his throat. He could have still led a drive before OT. San Diego gave them chance after chance with end zone turnovers and they couldn't do it. Still, I do agree with the folks calling for a rule change. I don't want it EXACTLY like college where you start them off on a specific yard line and just hand them the ball there. I do think one possession a piece to begin with works though. I forgot who said it, but I think it's unfair to a degree that through an entire game it's offense AND defense for both teams, but once you reach overtime you may only get to use one of those units. As long as both teams gets to touch the ball once, I have no issue.

My memory is hazy on this.

I mean, it is such a "what did you do yesterday" league. I could have sworn that Polamalu was the best safety in the league until yesterday when Noodle Arm Pennington floated those balls to Ed Reed. ESPN forgot to mention how tired the Ravens get towards the end of games. Look at the games when the Titans and Steelers (both times) when games really matter, the Ratbirds defense run out of gas by the start of the 4th quarter.
