Hmmm What happened the last time the Panthers were in the Bowl? My memory is hazy on this. We almost beat a team that no one gave us a snowball's chance in hell of beating. You can smack talk, but I got nothing to be ashamed of from that game. We had only been in the league for 10 years at that point. We have come further, faster than many, many teams.

To be fair.......there were plenty of people out there who thought the Panthers were primed for an upset including ESPN.

Sorry Roberts, I didn't mean to come off like that. I was just more using your joking as a springboard into commenting on that than anything else.

Frankly, at this point, I wouldn't be adverse to a sudden death OT where the only modifier is "No field goals".
Yeah, it's not "real football", but I'm sick of watching teams play for 3 points. NFL overtimes are probably the worst in sports.

Hey....I for one think Tennessee is gonna win this game. That's what I am talking about, a little love. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) I mean, it is such a "what did you do yesterday" league. I could have sworn that Polamalu was the best safety in the league until yesterday when Noodle Arm Pennington floated those balls to Ed Reed. ESPN forgot to mention how tired the Ravens get towards the end of games. Look at the games when the Titans and Steelers (both times) when games really matter, the Ratbirds defense run out of gas by the start of the 4th quarter. Look up Kerry Collins history against the Ravens in pivotal games that determine championships. Pennington's game is limited, no doubt, but if the Ravens shut down the Titans rushing attack and force the game in Collins' hands, I'm not a believer. Not to say this Ravens team is anything close to what it was when they won the Super Bowl, but a zebra doesn't change his stripes and Collins will only take a team so far. That said, I think you can tear apart every team left in the playoffs and its really hard coming up with a favorite to be honest. All of the teams are extremely flawed and this is definitely a year where parity is the name of the game. The best teams are likely in the dance, but I don't think we're looking at a historic post season here. To be ego-centric, unless the Giants repeat (which is history just to say a team repeated), I think this year might end up being a footnote lost in the NFL lores, as the playoffs have (to be blunt) sucked thus far and a lot of teams don't look like they belonged in the first place.

Umm....took a team to the super bowl...and another team to the nfc championship game. His history against the Ravens I was alluding was, until Ben Roethlisberger came along, the absolute worse performance you'll ever see from a starting QB in a Super Bowl. He just didn't have anyone to bail him out and make people forget about it like Ben did. Again, I'm not saying he can't, I'm just saying having seen what he's done in his history, I just see him having an issue if a defense takes away the rushing attack and forces it completely in his hands. He can beat teams like the Packers, who did it this year, but are just were not good defensively. He folded horribly in XXXV and I'm not seeing a ton that makes me think this is a different guy. I watched him undress the Vikings and set a record in the NFC Championship game and then I saw him look visibly scared to be on the field against the Ravens. You can still rattle him and he still has issues with pressure defenses. That's all he'll be playing form here on out.

I'll jump on the bandwagon and give my picks for the remaining games:
Titans over Ravens Steelers over Chargers
Eagles over Giants Panthers over Cardinals
Steelers over Titans Panthers over Eagles
Steelers over Panthers

Kerry Collins history with the Ravens are just that, history. He already put the Titans on his back earlier when we played the Ratbirds in week 5 and their D did stop our run game. I am watching the game from Week 5 and he was mobile in the pocket every time the Ratbirds sent in a blitz and made something happen. Also with Flacco when flushed out of the pocket, his butt hole puckers up and makes rookie mistakes. What made the game so close then what the score points out were the penalties that killed drives after moving the ball with ease. Stupid mental mistakes almost lost the first game with the Titans.

I understand, and always thought that way as well. Only, in my mind, the Mets/Jets are the B teams, and the Yanks/Giants the A teams. Thats how it kind of plays out in New York as well. To best explain, consider New York as five unique sections: Western NY, Upstate NY, NYC and Long Island. There's pockets of fans in every area, but to best sum up: - Western NY: Bills, Sabres (NHL is bigger than MLB) - Upstate NY: Giants, Yankees - NYC: Giants, Yankees - Long Island: Mets, Jets The Giants and Yankees are the "gold standard", the historic organizations with championships and a pedigree. Upstate NY is about 80% Giants fans and 90% Yankees fans. NYC is hard to really peg, but its definitely pro-Yankee and seemingly mostly pro-Giants. The Mets and Jets are occasionally the upstarts, but more often than not, the loveable losers who let their teams down. Long Island (from my few trips out there) are where the fans seem to have numbers. Once you start seeing Wegmans, you're in Bill's country where the Jets are hated rivals and the Giants are not to be forgiven for taking away that Bills' teams one good chance at a Super Bowl. Do not utter "wide right" if you're sporting anything with a Giants logo on it. The Bills, despite being the only "true" NY team aren't even considered a NY team (though Toronto may have something to say about that fact in the near future). The Jets don't really have the history of the Giants and are further set back by being their tennants in Giants Stadium. I'm not a big baseball buff, but I don't really need to elaborate why the Yankees get the most attention of the clubs in NY do I? That said, for whatever reason, the fans typically line up: - Giants/Yankees/Knicks/Rangers - Mets/Jets/Nets/Islanders I don't know why, but that's how it seems to be and there's a lot more of the first group than the second. Which is what I was trying to say. Typically, not everyone. Just the majority, of course they are few exception, that is just the way it is. Simply put, the majority of Giant fans don't give a dam about the Mets and Phillies, so this is not revenge for baseball at least from the Giant fans prospective.

I need his autograph to complete my Tony Romo shrine. So close! 2. Why in the hell would a group of people be in Robstown for hunting? The only target worth shooting left Robstown a few years ago after a horrible football coaching career!

The people you see wearing Cowboys gear right now? They're the real fans lol And of course channel 6 news won't get there in time. Channel 10 was there first to see my car on fire, and then channel 6 showed up after my car was towed away lol
