Y'know, even though I don't watch WWE very much, I tend to show a lot more interest whenever Evan Bourne shows up (and Punk, and Kofi, and Mizorrison). It just seems like WWE has loosened up about the dreaded "safe style", especially since he's been able to do the Shooting Star Press.
Not only have they allowed him to do it, but they've pushed it as a big time move again. He's identified by the move, and has managed to make a very good name for himself based off his high-flying, and the SSP finish.
So I've kinda been thinking lately...what if...and this is pure dream booking...what if they hired Jack Evans, and let him keep pretty much his entire arsenal?
Well, honestly, I think Jack could do with a little cleaning up, in terms of what he uses, but I was just thinking, what kind of reaction would Jack get, if he hit a 630 in front of a crowd that is ABSOLUTELY not expecting it, or ready for it?
...Again, just something I sort of day dream about, nothing I'm really expecting. But what do you guys think of the chances?

What WWE needs to do is hire more cruiserweights and give them a serious belt to fight over. Much like TNA's X Division really.
It's easy to see how Punk, Kingston, Morrison and Bourne get over on high flying moves when the vast majority of the roster relies heavily on the power game. People like the flippity stuffs, so why not give it to them?
EDIT: Yes, I realise that of the ones I listed only Bourne is currently a cruiserweight.

I have have wondered the same thing Mr. Invader Dave. Given Jack's ability to sell anything like death and his RVD/Rey/Bourne highflying abilities, I think he could be a solid payer in WWE.

I don't even think Teddy Hart's allowed at the Hart family Christmas party, let alone in any major fed.

I think WWE just allow the capable wrestlers to do things. Evan Bourne is clearly an incredibly talented performer, as is Mysterio. So they are allowed to do things others wouldn't. Perhaps WWE just wouldn't trust Jack Evans. Perhaps they would.

Yeah, they said that Evan Bourne had to do the SSP like 15 times in a row for agents to prove that he could do it perfectly every time before they would let him use it.

I wouldn't say Jack Evans. I would however say someone like Pac or Yosh!tsune, both of whom are slightly better rounded and whom IMO do the flippy crazy madness style much smoother and cleaner.

I don't know. I like Jack, but he f***s up too much to be a safe enough wrestler for the E. I don't see it ever happening.

The thing about WWE is, you can do anything you want as long as you're safe with it (Juventud Guerrera I think f***ed it up for a lot of the Crusierweights, but I heard he was just an asshole) and as long as it makes sense that you're trying to win, and nothing is done to take away from that.
That would be my issue with Jack Evans. But then again, sending him to developmental will help get out some of his kinks when it comes to stuff like that. Jack Evans, I think he has a great character, and that's my biggest reason for liking him. That, and when he does sell, he has a ridiculous amount of sympathy, it's unbelievable. So, you put him against guys like Mark Henry on ECW, he will get over like crazy because of how much sympathy he could get.
Other high flyers like Pac, I don't see much in him. One thing I feel with WWE is, if you take away everything they have, will they still know how to get over? And if you took away Pac's high flying moves, he has nothing. With Jack, if you take away his high flying moves, he still has sympathy, and the ability to get over with a crowd. That's what I like about Jack, and I'd love to see him in WWE.

But if not, they could throw on a chicken suit, and get ready before their match.

I just checked their current billed weights, Kingston is 218, Morrison 219 and Punk 222, so yeah, they're all able to compete as cruiserweights. Admittedly, I was thinking about boxing weight classes, where a cruiserweight is under 200lbs.

Admittedly, I was thinking about boxing weight classes, where a cruiserweight is under 200lbs. It's weird, there was a time where there weren't enough big name cruiserweights, but there was the title. Now you have several (by definition of weight) cruiserweights in the main event/upper midcard, but no belt. The cruiserweight title could get serious sizzle with a division consisting of a core of Bourne, Helms, Wang Yang, Kendrick and Naki, and people like Punk, Morrison, Kingston, Mysterio and Chavo appearing occasionally. Not to mention the aforementioned hopes for outside hirings like Evans, Pac and Yosh!tune.
