On to Round 4 ....
In the event of a tie both will carry on to the next day to meet some other challenger. I will try and vary the sources from comics to TV show characters.
I'm also going to add a bit of story to this to make it interesting, it's still a favorite poll but it's going to have continuity!
I will happily take requests for future opponents. But in the meantime we have to continue the story ...
--------------------------------------
Jenny Sparks takes one step forward and then in a blinding flash of energy vanishes. Black Widow holsters her pistol and after searching the area heads on into the Helicarrier.
We find Nick Fury debriefing some agents of S.H.I.E.L.D as Black Widow walks in.
"Rhino has been apprehended as ordered, but why do we need the dumb brute?"
Fury responds "We need him as he has close ties with this man" On a screen an image pops up.
"Who is he?" asks Black Widow. "All we know is that this simple burglar is just a disguise for something much much worse, but we will find out what Rhino knows". Suddenly the alarm is activated and soldiers rush about.
"Whats going on down there?" Fury bellows into the com system.
A mystery voice of malice replies ""Why not come down to the cells and find out?"
Who is going to investigate?
Black Widow
The first and best-known Black Widow is a Soviet agent trained as a spy, martial artist, and sniper, and outfitted with an arsenal of high-tech weaponry, including a pair of wrist-mounted energy weapons dubbed her "Widow's Bite". Romanova eventually defects to the U.S. for reasons that include her love for the reluctant-criminal-turned-superhero archer Hawkeye. The Black Widow is a world class athlete and gymnast, expert martial artist, markswoman, and weapons specialist as well as having extensive espionage training. She is also an accomplished ballerina. The Black Widow uses a variety of equipment invented by Soviet scientists and technicians, with later improvements by S.H.I.E.L.D. scientists and technicians. Usually associated with the Avengers she has also been Daredevil's love interest in the past.
vs
Nick Fury
Colonel Nicholas Joseph "Nick" Fury is a fictional World War II army hero and present-day super-spy in the Marvel Comics universe. Fury first appeared in Sgt. Fury and his Howling Commandos a combat series that portrayed the cigar-chomping Fury as leader of an elite U.S. Army unit. The character now makes frequent appearances in Marvel comic books as the head of S.H.I.E.L.D. and as an intermediary between the U.S. government or the United Nations and various superheroes. It is eventually revealed that Fury takes a special medication called the Infinity Formula that halted his aging and allows him to be active despite being chronologically nearly a century old. Recently Nick Fury launched a covert assault on the leadership of Latveria, who were plotting a massive attack on America, using a small team of heroes consisting of Captain America, Spider-Man, Luke Cage, Wolverine, Daredevil and the Black Widow. One year after the assault, the Latverian forces launched a counter-attack, which resulted in Luke Cage being hospitalized, Fury's friendship with Captain America became strained, and Fury was removed as S.H.I.E.L.D. commander and forced into hiding, with numerous international warrants out for his arrest. He will return to help in the upcoming secret invasion of the Skrulls. His abilites include halted aging from the Infinity Formula, skilled and experienced soldier with many weapons and fighting techniques.
