There's a thread devoted to wrestlers that people love that you just can't get into. I thought it would be interesting to see if there are wrestlers who get hate a lot around here that you don't agree with or understand.
For me, it's Warrior. I know the guy never had a huge moveset, but he didn't really have to. His character a huge guy that did high-impact moves with high energy. He played that role to perfection.
Also, I know that he gets a lot of heat for his business practices, but seriously, he was in wrestling for the money from day one. He was not raised to be a wrestler like Bret Hart, and he didn't have the Shawn Michaels boyhood dream. He was a bodybuilder that saw a moneymaking opportunity in wrestling and he took it.
Others?

X-Pac.
Honestly, I'm not sure what the hell happened. Look at when he came back to the WWF in the first place. He was one of their top faces behind Austin & HHH in 1998. Hell, he was main eventing Raw!!!
I know a lot of the hate for X-Pac is because of the 2000-02 time period, but it wasn't THAT bad.

I have no clue where the X-Pac hate came from.

R-Truth.
The guy is fairly over with the crowds and has a decent amount of talent and charisma. But yet these boards largely crap all over him.

Jillian Hall
Just because her gimmick is pretty lame, doesn't mean she can't wrestle.
Also, I REALLY don't understand why people HATE Michael Cole. Sure, he says stupid things and points out the obvious, but he's just doing his job. Cut the guy some slack.

John Cena. I'll never understand how a guy who consistently big time matches, in big time situations, is the most energetic and charismatic wrestler since Rocky, and is easily the most over guy in wrestling right now gets shit on so bad.
its not near as bad as it used to be, but its still worse than it should. I actually read someone on THIS BOARD (which is one of the more Cena-Friendly places on the 'net) refer to him as "one of the worst wrestlers of all time"

No one really. Everyone has their own opinions and dislike or like people from their own perspective. If someone dislikes someone I like then so be it.

They think he is a one dimensional wrestler but he really isn't. I think also a lot of people are fans of rap which is also why i think a lot of people initially hated John Cena.

I agree with Xpac and John Cena. Quite a few people don't seem to like Batista. The name the haters give him is Botchtista. I guess I need to pay attention to his matches, because I don't see where he botches.

MVP, I think he's paid his dues more than anybody in the modern WWE. From debuting with his 'Power Rangers' costume, to being known as the guy set ablaze by Kane during a live PPV, to this latest storyline where he jobs even to Shelton Benjamin's Big Mama, he still manages to get over with the crowd.
Plus, he's capable of putting on 5-star matches, I remember some of those insane TV programs he had with Benoit at the height of the CW Network's run. And his 'odd couple' storyline with Matt Hardy was the best non-real-life-based storyline Matt's ever had.

I understand some of the hate for John Cena's booking (well not now but in his big push when he was beating Umaga and Khali and seemed invincible) but I don't get the extreme hate some have for his in ring work, he's quality.

MVP... not to be a biased fan here but i dont understand why people hate him at all. He paid his dues alot and is obviously loyal to the company when hes there jobbing to jobbers for 21 weeks in a row. Hes capable of having brilliant matches and is WWE's best wrestler who never held the world title IMO.

Cena, I understand why people used to dislike him but from early 2006 onwards the guy has become one of the best and most consistant wrestlers in the WWE, hell I'll go as far as saying in the world.
He never puts on a bad match, has the ability to get crowds into a match with anyone purely by been there, can work well with anyone and he just seems realy passionate about wrestling. I really can't understand why people hate on Cena still and say he can't wrestle. He's proved with the number of great matches he's had in the past 2 years that he can wrestle.
