Was it really that many? Wow.
It couldn't of all been wrestlers, unless most of these were in OVW being dropped.

Not OVW, FCW.
We lost 31 people from the main roster and 2 producers, the rest were from developmental.

They've actually cut the fat so much that a single brand over 5 hours a week would work.

I counted 37 who had served in WWE, including agents.

I think one big issue that WWE has had as of late is the frequency of talent coming and going. For years, WWE had a pretty established roster, with a few people coming and going. But with 56 people getting the boot, that is pretty crazy. I'm gonna look up all the names:
Ok, here is the list of on screen talent and developmental talent that I've found so far:
Main Roster: -Anastacia -Bobby Lashley -Dave Taylor -Balls Mahoney -Torrie Wilson -Ashley Masarro -Ric Flair -Trevor Murdoch -Shannon Moore -Braden Walker/Chris Harris -Big Daddy V -Nunzio -Stevie Richards -James Curtis/KC James -Colin Delaney -Domino -Cherry -Robbie McAllister -Rory McAllister -Mick Foley -Super Crazy -Elijah Burke -Lena Yada -Kenny Dykstra -Lance Cade -Armando Estrada -Paul London -Chuck Palumbo -Snitsky
Developmental:
-Al Snow (Trainer with developmental) -Robert Anthony/Egotistico Fantastico -Ace Steel -Antoni Polaski/Amish Roadkill -Sonny Siaki -G-Rilla -Kassidy James/Cassidy O'Reilly -Krissy Vaine -Ryan O'Reilly -Chett The Jett/Chett Jabolanski -Silas Young -Chris Gray -Brad Attitude/Brad Allen -Matt O'Neal -Charles Evans -Mike Jarvi/Giant Titan -Imani Lee -Mike Mondo/Mighty Mikey -Johnny Jeter -Chris Rombola -Rob Terry
Referees: -Nick Patrick -Wes Adams
Announcers: -Johnathan Coachman -Timmy Baltimore
Production/Agents: -Barry Windham -Bruce Prichard
I got 56. Anymore anyone can think of.

Nick Patrick?! What?
And how is the weak link of Deuce and Domino still there?

It's inevitable really. The end of the MNW put, in Nunzio's words "90 wrestlers on the market". And obviously WWE tried to accomodate as many of them as they could. But 7 years on, they just can't afford the big bloated roster anymore. To be honest, it's almost for the best as all the people not getting used for ages still have to turn up to TV and PPV tapings. So they're spending money travelling but not earning as much. Plus it's gotta be depressing being a healthy, active wrestler who doesn't get the chance to wrestle

I feel bad that Stevie had 1 win on ECW. He beat Mike Knox once, and did a close match with Punk. I don't even think Nunzio ever won a match. Two of my favorite low cards were fired. And Domino, Deuce and Domino were the best!
