3. It pigeonholes Rey- Mysterio is a talanted wrestler and has had matches all around the world and has had 20ish years worth of experience. He could probably pull some crazy, yet still within WWE-limits, lucha move out as a new finisher. He had a good thing going earlier with that body spalsh he used shortly after the draft/his return, but went back to the 619 within weeks Agreed, I used to like Rey Mysterio Jr., but the Rey of today is just lame, especially the 619, which is a good move, but a terrible "power" move. - bretclark

I'm glad he added kicks to his arsenal. It makes his matches seem to work better, at least.

Elijah Burke used to do a move from the same position.

I think what gets me about the move as a finish in itself is, taking nothing away form the agility it takes to pull it off, he's been doing the move for years, but only in WWE was it any kind of offense.
Used to be, he'd pull the almost dive/swing back in thing as a psych out move, which was cool, because you got to focus on the whole "damn, that looked cool" aspect rather than the "why is his opponent just laying there?" aspect that you get now, or like you got wiht the Worm.

There are a good many finishers that, if you thought about them for 30 seconds, you'd realize just how improbable they are. But those at least takes 30 seconds to find the holes... when watching the 619, before the move is even over my wife is saying how stupid it is. I know it's wrestling an entertainment, and every move has "holes" in it, but the 619 just seems to be a step or two beyond believable... even in wrestling logic. And remember folks, this same wrestling logic allows for catapult moves and back rakes that do more damage than a punch in the face. I don't know, I find the basic vertical suplex to be one of the most unbelievable moves in wrestling. Of course, I'm discounting the moves that are mostly theatrical, because I dig those quite a bit.
