On to Round 13 ....
In the event of a tie both will carry on to the next day to meet some other challenger. I will try and vary the sources from comics to TV show characters.
I'm also going to add a bit of story to this to make it interesting, it's still a favorite poll but it's going to have continuity!
I will happily take requests for future opponents. But in the meantime we have to continue the story ...
--------------------------------------
Last time DL Hawkins had barged past Deadpool in the street. Deadpool reacts to this by trying akick which phased through him. In return Hawkins punched Deadpool in the face.
"You can't hit me, I have knowledge about your wives Nikki, Tracey, Barbara, jessica and ..."
*DL is taken a back by this chatter and doens't see the simple leg sweep which knocks him down face first into the borken Toffee Apple.*
*Meanwhile back at S.H.I.E.L.D Fury and Widow watch Deadpool, who notices the minature camera.*
"Hey is this thing on? Do I win a prize if I guess who is behind the camera, is it you Noel Edmonds of Deal or no Deal fame?"
FURY: "Can't we just ask this guy to do it instead?"
Fury flicks Deadpool off, and it switches to an image of Red Robin.
WIDOW: "I thought some clown got rid of him?"
"Nope, here is man who will get the job done but won't be prone to stupid scenarios or idiocy."
Would you rather Red Robin went after the Robber over Deadpool?
Deadpool

Nicknamed the "Merc with a Mouth", Deadpool is a high-tech mercenary known for his wisecracks, black humor, and pop-culture humor. Like the X-Men's Wolverine, Deadpool is the product of the Canadian government's paramilitary Weapon X program. After Weapon X cured his terminal cancer by implementing a regenerative "healing factor" extracted from Wolverine, Deadpool is left disfigured and mentally unstable, has a portable teleportation device, and is a crack shot with various weapons. He also has a telepathic immunity and is an exceptionally good martial arts fighter having gone toe to toe with Ironfist, Taskmaster and Wolverine and winning. Deadpool is one of few Marvel comic book characters that have regularly broken the "fourth wall" and called attention to his nature as a comic book character. Marvel has officially referred to this as Deadpool's "comic awareness," a play on Captain Marvel's "cosmic awareness." In the past he teamed up and taken on a variety of marvel characters ranging from the Great Lake Avengers to Death herself. Notably he teamed with Cable in a series together but after that partnership split he has been mostly solo although recently he has picked up a sidekick in the form of Bob, Agent of HYDRA.
vs
Jason Todd - Robin/Red Hood/Red Robin.

Jason Todd was originally a young street orphan who first encounters the Dark Knight while attempting to steal the tires off the Batmobile. Bruce Wayne sees to it that Jason is placed in a school for troubled youths. Jason earns the mantle of Robin a short while later by helping Batman apprehend a gang of thieves. However, Todd does not wear the Robin costume until after six months of training. Batman realizes that while Jason doesn't possess Dick Grayson's natural athleticism & acrobatic skills, he can become a productive crimefighter by channeling his rage. He also believes that if he doesn't help the boy, Jason will eventually become part of the "criminal element." The Jason Todd version of Robin was not well-received by fans. For 1988's Batman: A Death in the Family storyline, DC Comics held a telephone poll to determine whether or not the character would die at the hands of the Joker, Batman's archnemesis. The character was killed off by a slim margin of votes. Subsequent Batman stories dealt with Batman's guilt over not being able to prevent Jason's death. However, in 2004 the character was resurrected as an enemy of Batman, eventually becoming the second Red Hood and assuming a new role as an anti-hero who resembles Batman in many ways, except with a willingness to use lethal force and weapons. During DC's weekly Countdown to Final Crisis series, Jason Todd assumes the identity of Red Robin, though he casts the costume into a dumpster by the end of the series.
