I'm actually glad to read that the backstage rumblings were positive on Jeff being champion. I figured it was going to be that they thought Jeff couldn't the title or something along those lines. I totally agree with the rumblings (I'm guessing the rumblings were those of wrestlers and staff) that Jeff needs to hold onto the belt. He is getting more over with the fans than ever before, and many people around my town are still celebrating Jeff winning the belt. It would be good for the company to at least let Jeff hold the belt until Wrestlemania, if not longer.

Ignoring the HHH part which of course just HAD to be put in there, I agree with the idea that taking it off of him now is a massive mistake. I'm sorry, but you line the two up and he's more over than HHH for at least the current time. The fans WANT him as Champion. They waited a year for it, give them what they want for a while.

Jeff will not be as big as Cena. And I laughed at the mention of HHH being in the report just for the sake of it.

I'm sorry, but Jeff being as big as Cena is laughable. How? He is one of the companies biggest draws despite never being the focal point, has one of the top selling DVDs in WWE and TNA despite not being there for years, is one of the top merchandise sellers and, is a proven ratings draw. If he were to become the focus of Smackdown, I don't see why him becoming as big as Cena is laughable.

I'm sorry, but Jeff being as big as Cena is laughable. How so he already gets more cheers than Cena, all he needs is the WWE marketing machine and im sure he can be bigger.

I'm not saying he can't draw, but he'll never be on Cena level. He can barely cut a good promo, nevermind one as good as Cena.

People would have also said rapping Cena never would be on Hogan's level either. Nothing is impossible, especially when the guy is already well on his way in popularity.

Personally, I'm happy for Jeff as he has been through a lot the past year and being champion hopefully will allow him to stay focused.

Yeah, Jeff cannot cut a great promo but, he can cut an okay one and Cena is no where near Hogan's level. Yes he sell more merchandise than Hogan but, I would venture Jeff does too given the amount out there. Plus Jeff has never had WWE's full support behind him (yes he's the champ but, he is being treated as one of many) and is still one of the most popular guys in the company.

I'm not putting Jeff down,i've been a fan since the TLC wars days, but i just can't see him ever making money or drawing in the kids like Cena does.

I agree Jeff needs to keep the title, i am sick of Triple H at EVERY SINGLE WM having a title shot. INFACT look:
WM 16 - went in as champ wrestled in the 4 way mainevent WM 17 - faced Taker no title in play WM 18- had the mainevent was Y2J and won the title WM 19 - went in as champ and faced Booker T WM 20 - went in as champ and faced Beniot and HBK in the mainevent WM 21 - went in as champ and faced Batista in the main event WM 22 - faced John Cena in the main event WM 23- was injuried but the story line was to have him face Cena again for the title WM 24 - faced Orton (champ) and Cena.
Seriously enough is enough it is time for someone else to mainevent the damn show, and NO triple H in the title match. I like Triple H but seriously it is getting beyond boring!

Go ask any non-wrestling fan who Hogan is, they'll know. Then ask them who Cena is and they might have heard of him but the vast majority hasn't. To be at Hogan levels you need to be known outside of wrestling circles, so far only Hogan, The Rock and Austin have really pulled that off.
