10. Dolph Ziggler's debut
I had very little faith in WWE when he came in as the guy shaking hands with everyone. I thought for sure he was going to be a jobber, but was shocked when he looked good in his match with Batista. Was a fan of his when he was Nick Nemeth and he was always my favorite Spirit Squad member.
9. Edge vs Undertaker - Hell in a Cell
This match was awesome, and I loved how Edge was able to utilize the spear in so many ways. My only complaint was that Edge looked weaker than Undertaker did. However, the ending where Taker did everything Edge did to him in the last year was awesome.
8. Randy Orton winning at WrestleMania
Trust me I was shocked, I thought his reign was definitely going to end that night. Sadly it ended the following month, and I was hoping for a year long reign.
7. Mark Henry winning the ECW Championship
I don't know why, but I always considered Henry an awesome superstar. The way he celebrated after winning the title made it look like it was a title worth winning. And I'm glad the ratings skyrocketed after he won the gold, and plummeted after Matt won it. Serves all those dumb smarks right, saying it was Matt who made the show worth watching. It was Mark Henry who made it worth watching.
6. Jeff Hardy kicking out of the pedigree
I don't know why, but that was the defining moment for Hardy as a main-eventer in my eyes.
5. Chris Jericho winning the WHC in a match he wasn't even in
I don't know why, but I found that to be an incredibly funny moment. I hope CM Punk wins it back after a couple years though to make him more legit.
4. The 2008 Draft
This was a shocker and my favorite draft so far, so much happened. Ross and Cole switching places, Hardy going to SD, Punk going to RAW, Rey going to RAW, Kane going back to RAW, Matt heading to ECW, Kennedy back to the show he belongs, and HHH going to SD.
3. Miz & Morrison
Just them in general, they've had an amazing year and have really helped build the tag division back up.
2. Flair's retirement
It was a great way to end RAW and Flair's WWE career. My only complaint is that they brought him back a few months later, when they should've just kept him off air for at least a year.
1. Jeff Hardy winning the WWE Championship
They had an amazing match at Armageddon, and I loved the spots from Jeff's whisper in the wind to Edge's spear through the table, you could tell each of these men were trying their hardest to make the most out of this match. Kozlov interfering and Matt fighting him was a nice touch. The swanton Jeff did at the end was the most epic moment of the match, cause once I saw HHH spin out of the ring, it was really sinking in that Jeff had the match won. The way he celebrated and climbed to the top of the castle was a great ending to the show, and it being one year after his match from HHH makes it twice as good.
