He's super special awesome. So super special awesome, in fact, that it's almost unfair that the Indians are hogging his super special awesomeness, and they wish to share the super special awesome with anybody who's willing to give up maybe one or two minor league pitching prospects. Quiet you...or the Pirates will start throwing prospects around left and right...and I can't take that much pain. Outside of McCutcheon who do the Pirates have that anybody would want?

Good defense at First, below average hitting, good clubhouse guy. Former scab player from 1994. Go Kevin Millar! Good defense at first? Big LOLz.

They have Pedro Alvarez who could be an Arod type player... He also apparently has an Arod like attitude from what I hear though.

After meeting Wednesday with general manager Frank Wren, Tom Glavine said that he wants an incentive-laden contract worth more than the Braves’ original offer.

Nats sign Adam Dunn to a 2yr/$20m deal
Nick Green got released by the Angels, and then got picked-up by the Brewers
Cards sign Rick Ankiel for $2.825m
Angels sign Bobby Abreu for 1 year

He also apparently has an Arod like attitude from what I hear though. I was not counting him though because he can't be traded until a calendar year after he signed his contract. He doesn't really have a huge ego, he just has Scott Boras as an agent.

Selig might want to suspend A-Rod for those positive steroid tests. He has a better chance of turning water into wine.

Selig might want to suspend A-Rod for those positive steroid tests. He has a better chance of turning water into wine. suspending ARod would be retarded as 1)It was an anonymous testing 2)The only reason the union agreed to the test was that the players would not be punished and 3) IT HAPPENED OVER 5 YEARS AGO. Obviously, Selig knew Arod failed a test if it happened that long ago, and he hasn't tested positive since. If he's not gonna punish anybody still active that was in the Mitchell report, why punish ARod? Selig is proving himself to be an even bigger idiot than I thought he was.

Question for anyone who's played the 2K baseball series: I notice they have minor league teams. Are the rosters accurate, with real minor league players, or are they mostly random guys? And is it just AAA, or do they go down to AA and A level?

Damn, that stinks. I'm gonna have to hope for 3rd party roster updates then.

Do the random players in 2K have ridiculous names like in The Show?

Do the random players in 2K have ridiculous names like in The Show? I remember in MVP 2005, Kevin Millar was a black man named Anthony Friese. I think Bonds was replaced by a white man named Jon Dowd. It's simultaneously annoying and hilarious. That's a lot of names that need to be changed. I'll just wait for the modding community for the PC version to create a more accurate roster.

Do the random players in 2K have ridiculous names like in The Show? 2K usually has the players by their intials (I.E. The made up OF for the Reds had the intials J.B., indicating Jay Bruce.) Yeah, there usually always is a "Santos L. Halper" in 2K. Been a running joke for awhile.

I did a face update for MLB 2005, and It made a lot of the ugly ones look better. But then I was playing the Astros, and the face update gave Bagwell a Black Man's face.... But he still had Bagwell's body.

the reason why the games all have random minor league names is because they can only include players who are members of the MLBPA. That's why some real guys in the minors will be in the game(usually its old vetrans who were called up, joined the union, then sent back down, but are still union members). Also, that's why any "scabs" who are still playing have fake names, because they aren't allowed to join the union. Also, why Barry Bonds and others who refuse to join aren't in.

MLB06 has Ivan Jimenez (Kevin Millar), Reggie Stocker (Barry Bonds), and Steve Cardwell (Jamie Walker) among others. There's also hilarious random names like Jospeh Gunter, Marcellanius Brock, Hassan Levitt, and white guys with Korean names.
