Remember this one? I thought this was one of the best angles done in a long time. Kurt did a great job acting, the writing/segments were good, and the fans were really into it. To top it off, the crowd was really hyped for and during the culminating match at Summerslam.

actually, i would rank this up there with one of the biggest (and best) forgotten angles ever. Trust me, it's not forgotten in the minds of most fans who were around to see it. Now, Jericho spilling coffee on Kane..that's probably forgotten.

I have to be honest I never understood Angle's attraction to Stephanie. This was of course prior to her "puppies" growing to watermelon size. She looked like a boy with bird legs. Then again, to each is own. ;D
Personally, never knew who to root for except when Triple H kept asking to re-air the Olympic ceremony moment when he sobs like a little girl on the Titatron. That was some classic stuff.

It was such a long and protracted angle that often made past refernces to much earlier events. Yeah it was pretty good.

It was good. I miss that sort of thing. Sure, there're stories now, but they're not the same. I posted an exhaustive run-down on how the backstage part of Raw has changed so drastically over the past few years. It's too bad, really. I miss the soap-opera stuff (that ironically disappeared when they started actually hiring soap opera writers for the show).

GREAT angle. i was pissed when it ended with a nut shot to kurt from stephanie. It could have went so much further.

Even though i'm a huge jericho fan. I always thought it would have been better storyline wise to have kurt angle become the first undisputed champ at vengeance '01.
It would have made more sense for angle to be w/stephanie (leading into wrestlemania 18), then jericho who basically hated her guts on screen throughout the years.
Angle could have went on about how he persuaded stephanie to be with him, while trips was out with a torn quad.

This storyline was over huge with the female fans, or even the non-female fans who watched due to boyfriends or husbands due to the soap opera aspect of it, just to bad it didn't have real ending.

There was a kinda ending; Steph managed Kurt to the title at No Mercy and after Hunter's car accident at Survivor Series she shifted her attention to her hubby
