It's currently noon on the east coast here in Pennsylvania, and I just bought Green Day tickets when they went on sale at 10am.
Well, I came back online and saw that ECW One Night Stand tickets went on sale today too and figured I'd see if I could get some just for the hell of it. Well, there were still tickets in the $400 range available 2 hours after they went on sale. I know this might not seem like a big deal, and I'm sure it will sell out, but for a venue that only holds about 2,500 people, I figured tickets would be gone immediately and am surprised I could have actually gotten some. (I didn't, cause I don't spend $400 on anything).
Is anyone surprised that tickets are still available? If so, what would you attribute it to? Lack of interest? High prices? I'm just looking for some general feedback, as I saw this as being quite interesting.

Well, it could be because of the price, lots of people won't spend $400 on anything. But I've seen the commercials and they don't say who is booked for the matches. If I have no idea who's going to be there, I'm going to be less likely to shell out that kinda cash. Now maybe I've just missed the announcements, correct me if I'm wrong.

I'd say the high prices have alot to do with it. I'm sure the prices were never NEAR that cost during EC-Dub's hayday, correct? And Jenni, yeah, alot of guys have already been confirmed for the show, although I don't have a full list around anywhere. Although... I just searched for it and here's what I find: Chris Benoit, Simon Dean (aka Nova in ECW),Tommy Dreamer, Spike Dudley, The Dudley Boyz, Eddie Guerrero, Paul Heyman, Chris Jericho, Lita (aka Miss Congeniality in ECW), Dean Malenko, Dawn Marie, Joey Matthews, Rey Mysterio, Rhyno (still under 90 day no compete at time of PPV), Nunzio (aka Little Guido in ECW), Psicosis, Steven Richards, Al Snow, Lance Storm, Johnny Swinger, Yoshihiro Tajiri, Tazz,Rob Van Dam and Chilly Willy (released but available for show). Mick Foley and Steve Austin are also scheduled to appear. Outside Talent Contacted & Announced and/or Expected to Appear: Axl Rotten, Balls Mahoney, Big Guido, Bill Alfonso, Blue Meanie, CW Anderson, Jason, JT Smith, Justin Credible, Masato Tanaka, Referee John Finnegan, Referee Mike Kehner, Referee Jim Molineaux, Sabu, Sal E. Graziano, The Sandman, Terry Funk, Tony Mamaluke and Tracy Smothers. From www.impactwrestling.com/content.aspx?ID=1484 and BTW, Jenni is HOT.

First and foremost, the ticket prices are ridiculous. The amount they're asking for makes it pretty obvious, IMO, that the WWE itself is just looking at this as a half-assed cash in.
It doesn't help that there's been no hype machine for this, either.

Question - does anyone know if the current WWE guys are going to be appearing with their current personas, or if it's going to be strictly old school ECW? For example, will Nunzio be billed as Nunzio or Little Guido? Is Simon Dean going to come out in the full Super Nova gear? Is Joey Matthews going be Joey Mercury with his MNM gear?

It looks like everything except ringside seating and some upper tier seating is sold out.
400 bucks for a ticket is way too much to ask for.... in my opinion.

yeah 400 buck is way too high. I don't how much Douglas' reunion show was to get in but his show sold out already and he was trying to get some more seats opened up.

Another thing I am wondering -- and we will probably have to wait until the show to find out -- I wonder what music they plan to use. I am expecting them to use the current WWE themes where applicable, but how cool would it be if they used the actual ECW music! RVD coming out to Pantera? Lance Storm coming out to White Zombie?

Is anyone surprised that tickets are still available? . Not at all. They are charging an insane amount of money for a card which more the likely will pale to what ECW was. I hope they lose their ass on this.

I just wonder if Hat Guy, Sign Guy, and Faith No More Guy bought their tickets already.

This thread is sort of taking it all out of context.
Everything is pretty much gone except for the front row seats.

Oh, I realize that, and I'm sure it will sell out. I was just surprised that tickets weren't all snapped up immediately by rabid ECW fans. For all I know, they're probably all sold out by now.
I find it funny that I spent $100 on a ticket to WrestleMania XX but a ticket to an ECW reunion show is going for so much, even if it is front row. It just doesn't seem worth it to me.

The WWE is disgracing the good name that was ECW. I'm from Pittsburgh, which held MANY ECW events. Tickets were not expensive at all. I remember paying 40 bucks for a TNNtaping. They should have held the event at the old ECW Arena, but NO, Vinnie Mac just wants to profit from it. But whatever. I know it's a bingo hall, but that's where a "One Night Stand" should be held. If I wanna see an ECW show, I want to see some obnoxious fans, cursing, handing random weapons to wrestlers......ya know, all the ECW stuff. ;D

I agree that the fans were a huge part of the show, 400 bucks is way too expensive, and its not gonna have the same ecw feel to it. Im also wondering as Lenny said, are the wrestlers gonna use there ecw gimmick or not, because if not i know i wont order the ppv, than again i might not anyway, i wanna see the card first

It has nothing to do with spitting on the name of ECW, just that Viking Hall is not equipped to run a PPV. How many PPV's did ECW do there? One. And what happened? There were 5 seconds away from losing feed due to the generator blowing. Even if WWE has way more money to throw into it, that building is just not able to house a PPV event. phew, got that of my chest. in any case, I'm sure the hardcore fans will be there as rowdy as ever. Although I still don't see how they are spitting on the name of ECW. Very little has come out about the actual show, and what has come out hasn't looked that bad.

I heard Shane Douglas was selling his tickets for $99. That's pretty expensive for a small house show in the ECW arena. Vince is trying to sell tickets for a huge pay per view event. Vince also has to pay one night deals to a bunch of guys not even on his roster. I wouldn't expect to pay a even $100 to get front row there. Shane is trying to sell tickets for a house show, and they're pretty expensive.
