Can I just say how much I hate those commercials these days? I'm not sure if they are shown worldwide on WWE programming, but I can guarantee on each episode of Raw or SD, shown here in the UK, the advert is shown about 3 times. The same ad, they've been showing for the last 4 years, or whatever it is!!! Fair enough, they are trying to get a message across, but at least change it once in a while. Anyway, rant over.. EDIT: I can't believe I've got it all memorised: How do you fall of a 20 foot ladder?I thought Shane might have been knocked outI think i broke my tail boneDoctors, emt's, referees down..I ruptured a disc which fragmented into my spinal columnetc..

Every week that goes by without some little kid getting killed by a botched clothesline or whatever, the adverts are worth ever second.

But at least change things every now and then. If they can be bothered to change the opening credits to Raw/SD every year or two..put together a new promotional video for each monthly ppv..put together those 30 promo videos for superstars (eg. rey's lucha video), then they should find the time to do this.. besides, going back to your point, do you really think a 30 second ad, will stop kids botching clotheslines? I don't think so.

If kids are impressionable enough to try the moves because they see their favorite stars doing it... they they will be impressionable enough to realise that their favorite stars are getting hurt doing it... its reverse advertising. And if not, atleast the parents might catch the warning and realise that this stuff is dangerous. Also... do you want WWE to purposely injure people just for the purpose of updating a warning video? The stuff shown if pretty effective in my opinion. I'm not arguing the point that its annoying, just in my opinon what is shown does more good than harm. And the fact that you have it memorised proves that its part of wrestling culture

I mean why do you think they put all these dumb warning labels on things, like 'do not use as an ice cream topping' for shaving cream. So when joe & jane schmo come knocking with a lawsuit, the wwe responds with 'hey we told ya not to try this at home.'

So when joe & jane schmo come knocking with a lawsuit, the wwe responds with 'hey we told ya not to try this at home.' Exactly. Especially now when people sue someone for anything. WWE has to do it. It's not going to stop any kids, but they are simply covering themselves from any lawsuits.

Parents will find a way to counter that statement. "Well our little Jimmy can't read or comprehend English, and my wife was busy outside giving head to the poolboy while I was recording it, so how were we supposed to get our son and his friend to follow those PSA's?!"

I hate loading the ECW dvd. I literally have taken a crap, read a chapter of the wrestlecrap book and ordered a pizza by the time the ads in that are over.

I watch WWE DVDs a lot so when I get to the "Don't try This At Home" ad I mute it and make up new words or just say things like they do

I personally think it's weird that Edge confesses his shoulder problems speaking like a big fat Samoan guy.
Whassupwidat?
And they do need a new video. One that gets the point across. Kind of like the commercials about cigarettes that tell you that if you smoke, it makes you impotent. When I checked that that was true it made me glad I don't smoke and never will.
Trying these moves at home makes you impotent. Just look what it did to Shane Douglas.
Yeah, that could work...

In Response to the amount of times it is shown in the uk, Because Sky do not show as many adverts as the states they need to fill the gaps hence the reshow the "dont try this at home video". If you watch the raw live showing you dont see the video! but you do have millions of adverts!

I find it interesting that at the end of the PSA, they have "Don't Try This At Home" in red letters...and then the exact same thing in smaller type at the bottom of the screen. Wouldn't that cancel out the first one?
I understand their reasons for including the PSA, but is it really necessary to put it on both discs in a set? The PSA is only on the first disc of the Flair collection; why not do that for all DVD releases?

I keep wondering who that guy in the ad is that clutches his wrist. Looking at his tatoos, it looks like Orton. But his hair is too long.
But I think the best way is to just give Dynamite Kid the mic for 30 seconds. And after he is done, show a message that says.
"This is what wrestling does to your body and mind...please, don't try this at home."
