I think they put that PSA at the beginning of all their releases just to help cover their backs. Whenever a kid jumps off his roof, a parent's first instinct might be to blame WWE. At least this way, WWE can say that they put the warning on. It's not their fault the message was ignored.
And for what's it's worth, there's a "backyard wrestling appreciation thread" over in one of the other forums. So maybe we actually still do need the PSA unfortunately.

I used to do wrestling moves with my older brothers. But we were never stupid enough to do Piledrivers or Powerbombs.
Or Kryponite Krunches off our roof for that matter....

My friends and I used to wrestle around 4th grade. We'd mostly do lame stuff like the lion tamer or diamond cutter. I tried putting someone in a pedigree once. Never did again.

You are the first person other than me to correctly identify that move as a Kryptonite Krunch. I'm glad Nova still lives. And that PSA sucks monkey balls. I wouldn't mind it if I could skip it in the beginning of my Mick Foley DVD. Ironic considering there's an easter egg of a young Mick jumping off his roof.

They NEED it.
It does detour kids from doing the moves. Look how Benoit broke his neck. It wasn't some sick bump. It was a simple belly to back suplex.
I think they should MAKE everyone watch it before EVERY dvd. You can do what you want but WWE wants you to know that they DO NOT want you doing it at home. They in no way want you to think that is a good idea to try it a home.
They want to make clear NOT to try it at home.
Sending in tapes of you in the backyard will do nothing. DO NOT waste your time. DO NOT try this at home.
I like the ads...I just want new sick bumps to cringe at to re-assure me I DO NOT want to try this at home.

if they did do a new one - A good idea would be to show these backyard videos, make sure the clips last long enough to see the people doing them in agony
