Yeah but they are still way better than those pop punk bands that they influenced.

Actually I had some old time punk guy telling me one time that they were cooler BEFORE Dookie. Before the major label days on Lookout records.

Have they learned a third chord yet? The Ramones played 3-4 chords and they're HOFers!

Some of the current stuff is ok, but their old stuff is 100x better.
I hate that song more than the titanic song, boy bands and other terrible music because it was made by a band I like.

I remember that god awful "Time of your Life" song being used on every sappy, over the top drunk driving scare video.

You mean never? But yeah, they were cooler before taking the "America sucks, but its money doesn't" route

There music is still good now. Couldn't care less how they dressed.

I do like the meaning of "Time of your life" and the video for "Walking contradiction" and the song "Basket Case" slightly but that's about it.
I remember when they were supposedly "voted" as having the best Grammy performance. That's grade A Bullshit if I can rant for a second

I didn't really like their collaboration with U2, but I have to say 'American Idiot' was for me a very good album. I didn't like a couple of the singles, but most of it rocked.
'Insomniac' is still their best for me though. I don't think I'll ever get bored of that album.

The guitar playing kids at school would spend hours moaning about how Greenday and the offspring had sold out, I think this was around the time Nimrod was released.
I enjoyed kerplunk (and the little story in the sleeve) and still like them to this day.
