I voted for Bret, because before him, my favourite wrestler of all time was Warrior. Bret showed me what good wrestling was all about, and he was the biggest reason i kept watching wrestling in the 90's.

Thesz, Rogers, Funk, Steamboat, Inoki, Misawa, Andre and a dozen more should be on that list. Although putting Trips up there was pretty funny. so is putting Andre and Hogan there. both are larger than life characters but neither could wrestle a lick. I'd have to go with Flair.

Kurt Angle. He's the total package, and can wrestle in any type of match.

I voted for Hulk Hogan. I see some folks are keeping the faith, too. Nothing like using the same 5 moves for 20 years.

Kinda hard to choose with the limited choices, it was down to Flair and Angle.
Flair is a one of a kind performer, never be another (some a-holes should take a hint)
Angle is also a one of a kind talent, and he is also from Pittsburgh
So I voted for Angle.
Another thing Mic Foley? gimme a break. He shouldn't be on the list.

Had to go with Flair. Bret Hart's complaints about him aside, he's the total package - when he was in his prime.

Sting had a lot going for him, longevity, timing, charisma, and a dynamic moveset. and whatever age and size he was, he was always fast. he was as good with flair as he was with vader sized opponents too.

Nothing like using the same 5 moves for 20 years. Yeap, nothing like it. Hogan sucks. First ever favorite wrestler was the Stinger and my current favorite is Angle, Benoit coming in a close second. Can't pick Angle or Sting. Tie between those two.

Nothing like using the same five moves for twenty years, and still being widely regarded as the greatest professional wrestler of all time.
You should've added that, definitely.
Face it. No matter what trash anyone talks about Hulk Hogan, no one is ever going to touch his legacy in this business. And I know it just burns you all up, too. Deal with it.
---
Btw, why do people even bother posting these polls? It's a matter of opinion on who is your favorite wrestler... not a matter of fact as two who the BEST of all time is. That question will never be answered, because it just depends on who you're asking. Ask marks, they'll say Hogan. Ask longtime purists, they'll say Flair. Ask hardcore wrestling fans, they'll say Mick Foley. Ask smarks, and they'll say someone like Bret Hart, or any other technical wrestler who's career never got as big as Hogan's or Austin's. They like to cheer for the dark horse, ya know. How rebelious.
Anyhow, I voted for Hulk Hogan. But only because he's my favorite of all time. I don't think there will ever be a definite answer as to who the BEST is... it's only a matter of opinion.

I bet when Thesz and Gotch where wrestling they heard that they would be the greatest, know hardly anybody knows about them, maybe in a 60 years we'll have someone bigger then Flair or Hogan......never say never.

Perhaps. But there was no one like Hogan before, and there has been no one like him since. There will be a bunch of young, stupidass kids in a few years who will call Randy Orton the greatest of all time... but I gaurantee you that if you compare the numbers, nobody is going to have more of an impact than Hogan.

Ask smarks, and they'll say someone like Bret Hart, or any other technical wrestler who's career never got as big as Hogan's or Austin's. So forgive me if I'm not 100% on the internet terms that are used (mark, smark, ect..) but where does your logic come into play with the 8-12 year old me who marked out harder for Bret Hart than any other? I do not believe I was a "smark" because I didn't even own a computer back then. To this day.. I still think Hart was the all around greatest of his time. Maybe not the most over, but the best. It's true.. technical wrestling buffs love Bret Hart. But.. I enjoy watching a Hogan squash match ALMOST as much as I like watching a Bret Hart match.. so I think that would make me a "non smark" AND a Hart fan. Also.... You mentioned Hart never getting as big as Austin.. Some could argue that Austin wouldn't have recieved the push he did had it not been for Hart putting him over with their fued. Win or lose, Austin looked damn good as a new guy* in the ring with a veteran. * New to WWF fans. I never watched ECW or WCW.

Too vaugue of a question.
As far as pure wrestling skill, you gotta go Angle.
As far as mic work, The Rock.
But when it all comes down to it, as far as actual in ring performers, if it wasn't for Hogan, none of this would've happened.

Bret Hart was the best wrestler of the early-mid 90's. In the WWF. Maybe. And that is all he was.
Asics isn't wrong. It's common and popular 'round the internet to say Hogan sucks, but there are very few people on that list who even come close. Austin and Rock as far as being a household name are up there, Flair is as far as who dominated an era, and Michaels, Hart, Angle, Sting, and just about everyone on the list as far as "technical ability" goes. But as a whole, Hogan is untouchable.

Since the title of the poll is "best wrestler", not "greatest WWE star", I don't see how there's any other vote besides Angle. He won the olympic gold medal, and then went on to win the WWE title. Beat that.
