Who is the better overall performer in the WWE between these two and why? Give me specific reasons.

Christian's ability to carry a match... his ability to cut promos... and his ability to connect with the fans.
Edge wouldn't even be close to Christian's league if it weren't for the steroids.

Edge, great selling, good ringwork, a bunch of offensive moves. His finisher of the Edgecution DDT and the Edge-u-cator Submission, are awesome.
The really bad thing about him is the spear, which would be fine as a transition/signature move, but never buyable as the end to a match unless done off the turnbuckles.
He's got a great look, a nice entrance, and can deliver in big matches.
His singles matches with Booker T, Kurt Angle, Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit, Shawn Micheals, and Lance Storm have all been good.
He's never been lacking in the ring or on the mic.
Christian has him beat in terms of Mic Skills, but in the ring Christian is nothing but boring.

The real answer is neither. Neither of them are interesting.

The real answer is neither. Neither of them are interesting. Beat me to it. But, I would take an Edge match over Christian anyday though.

Edge's ring skills are better than Christian, but the C-Man has Mr. Copeland beat on the mic.

I agree about edge and the spear...I mean the guys weighs like ten pounds and when he goes to hit someone bigger than him like kane let's say....I think edge should just bounce off or just shatter on impact. He needs to do the damn flatliner again. But yea christian is wayyy better on the stick. The guy always makes people laugh and he is very creative and doesnt really cut the same promo every week like some wrestlers do....he is good in ring but I think edge has put on a few 4-5 star matches like with Hbk,Angle,Benoit and others....(how hard is it to have a great match with the three I named? May be a bad example) But yea I just see edge as more polished and a better storyteller and he just feels like more of a World title guy than Christian. But I do like Captain C as much as the next guy but I cannot be biased here so thats why I went with Edge. Now where is the avatar of HHH pedigreein warrior from mania 12 and warrior jumpin back up?!!! Lol

What edge are we talking about? Like 3 years ago on Smackdown around survivor series 2002 when he got a really good push? Then ya he was some competition for current Christian. I am sorry but edges matches just really bore me. I dont really know why they just have ever since he has come back to raw. Maybe they will become interesting when hes back on smackdown...

I have always been an Edge mark, ever since his wwe debut. As for Christian I wasn't sold untill around when he won the IC battleroyal in '03. I think Edge's ring stills are better then Christian but niether of them are as great as HBK or Jericho. I think both guys are great, cause they always change up their charaters a bit and never get boring.

Christian, by a large margin. In the ring, they're both comparable, both being above average performers with some obvious weaknesses - Christian's being a lack of move variety and a tendency to hold rest moves too long and Edge with the same move-set issues though with the added problem of a poor finisher and inconsistent selling. Christian is though, in my opinion, slightly better because he portrays his character much better through his mannerisms and behaviour in the ring than Edge, which is an important and often over-looked aspect of pro-wrestling.
Out of the ring, Christian is the clear winner. He has a stronger character, combines strong mic skills with natural charisma, has the ability to act convincingly through mannerisms and behaviour, seems to demonstrate chemistry with anyone he works with to the point that he can make Tomko seem entertaining and has superb timing to add realism to his work. I could honestly see Christian as being capable of working as an actor if not a pro-wrestler. He's
Edge, whilst having an improved character, has merely functional mic skills and his acting work is much less accomplished than Christian's.
That's my reasoning. Christian has a much better all-around package and since sports-entertainment makes more money from the out of ring work than in ring work, it skews the whole deal even further in christian's favour. Yeah.

A very very tough decision for me, as both of them are my top favorites on Raw right now. But I have to go with Captain Charisma. Edge has got the better ring skills and is good on the mic. Christian is better on the mic and has good ring skills. But when it comes down to it Christian's mic skills dominate Edge's ring skills. Although I am a mark for the wrestling side of it all that is how my mind was made up.

Preffer Christian. Everything Edge does seems so forced and unnatural, plus I think he looks like a Praying Mantis.

i agree with test in his interview when he says Christian should be world champ. Edge just seems to be too forced into main event status, while Christian is at that level but not there.
Yes, even i confused myself.
