He's apparently doing a great job if you hate him so much. I wasn't talking about CM Punk specifically, I was talking about people in general who are like that. He is doing a great job, because he gets so much heel heat from the crowd. A character like that is perfectly suited as a heel. Perhaps I should have worded my post differently.

Straight Edge means CM Punk is better than me, which is completely true - he IS better than me.

Finally, someone in the WWe will be on the streets saving the scene from the forces of evil, side by side living the dreams for all the positive people. Nothing but good clean fun.

He HASN'T signed with the WWE, he's simply participating in, if you will, "tryout" matches on Heat. I, for one, hope he doesn't sign. He'll end up being yet antoher wasted talent jobber. While guys like Hogan are still given a half hour of air time.

I really can't give much respect to most sxe kids because they'll only go so far, but whatever. That's not the topic on hand.
I LOVE CM Punk. I love the attitude, I love the stupid tattoos, I love his wrestling ability. He's a great wrestling character that needs to be thrown into the main event. The problem is, he's too good for the WWE. They'd make him another Raven or another Gangrel. I dunno if they would use the the straight edge angle. If they would, they would blow it out of proportion. For CM Punk's own beliefs and respect, he should stay away from the WWE. But, he's somewhat of a hippocrite anyway rocking a caffeinated beverage on his arm when he's supposedly absent of it. You either are straight edge or not. He is not, according to definition. He just thinks he is. Regardless, he plays a good character.

You should watch ROH Empire State Showdown from 2003, specifically CM Punk vs. Steve Corino.
Corino's announcer gives the long ass introduction for him, and reads a list of some of the all time great substance abusing wrestlers before introducing Corino.
Punk counters by giving the regular ring anncouner a list of "Substances CM Punk Will Never Take Because He Is Better Than You".
That said, no, caffeine didn't make the list, far as I know. Nyquil did, though.
I thought I'd point this out, as well: right now, outside of him having some boo-birds in Boston and New Jersey, Punk is MEGA over as a face in many indies (the Manhattan crowd went nuts for him on 5/7). He's a natural heel and a master at drawing good heat, but the guy knows how to play the face, as well.

Does he live his "straight-edge" gimmick in real life? Dude is far from straight-edge! I laugh everytime i read that. But seriously i wish him well if he signs with the WWE. He's a good talent and he definately deserves it. Hopefully they use him right though.

Ha, I love when Corino brings out the whole squad, including his own ring announcer.
No Nyquil eh? I guess Punk's never robo-tripped either...oh well. I still like him.

Actually, as far as the sXe thing is concerned, there ARE different forms of it. Like how there is a difference between people who are anti-war, and people who are pacifist. The main overriding thing is "No drugs, no beer." Then you run into people's interpratations of what falls into each. And as said before, you have to be insane to go as far as "no Pepsi/Coke/what have you."
With how much I've seen Punk's name popped up in connection with WWE lately, I've been wondering...has he secretly signed a deal with the WWE, and is just finishing out dates and storylines on the indies, ala Mick Foley?
Edit: And one more thing...
HUSS!
