Ok with all of these #1 contenders tournaments going on where is the "new blood" at or where is the person at who cyou could build into a superstar or start a push through one of these tournaments?....I lack the WWE's ability to create new gimmicks or push new guys of course it's been said before.

I must say, I agree. By and large, outside of Shelton, this tournament was nothing but the "usual suspects".
I give WWE a little bit of credit for at least trying to push young talent (as seen in Cena and Orton...although I personally think they suck), but be damned if they actually know how to do it properly.

It puts a rookie over to even let them make it to the finals and take the loss. Atleast they made it to the finals and you can always wonder...maybe next time?
I do believe this tournament was set up to make it an effective heel turn for Lita to pair up with Edge though. Costing Kane a title shot.. it just adds more heat. You know, as if it's needed.

Ok go for it name some "new blood" that deserves to be in the tournament?
Exactly it has to be belivable. They are not going to throw people like Hurricane in there, The Coach, or Steven Richards (who should finally get a push), the hearthrobs won't be in it.
Tell me who do you want in it. The WWE has developed their future with such examples of Batista, Orton, and Cena.
WWE has not dropped the ball at all on these tournaments not one bit.

Want young talent that hasn't been used properly, it's simple.....
Make Heidenreich world champion, and the world will break out with world peace.

Mordecai, seriously. The guy had the charisma, the looks, and for a big guy he did well in the ring. I don't understand why the WWE killed this gimmick. It was something new, something that the WWE needs right now.

it's a double edged sword.
if wwe tries to put new guys out there, we all raise hell about these schmucks being on our tv's yet if they don't then we complain that it's the same ol same ol.

Outside of Shelton Benjamin, which new blood deserved to be in the Gold Rush Tourney? I can't really think of any.

I know I'll get blasted for even suggesting this, but I think Snitsky could have been in it. After all, he does have several wins over the finalist Kane. I'm not saying Snitsky should have won it or anything, but I think it would have made sense to have him participate.

SO they showed the top card which is full of guys who can fued with each other.
It's worse on RAW because we saw all those matches before besides SHelton/HBK or SHelton/Kane.
But on Smackdown we saw the top card, and they all had backstory well besides Big SHow.
You can fued anybody on Smackdown and have it make sense.
With RAW they just throw guys out there to wrestle..no real reason.
They have pushed new guys to the top.
I don't know who to promote besied Benji or Hussan at the moment.
but things should pick up.
there's a lot of vets that could be used better too..

As far as the participants, it didn't bother me, but other than Benoit beating HHH, the tourney had no "Shock Factor" moment. Maybe Shelton beating HBK, or Christian making it to the finals or something would've spiced it up a little.
What I would've liked to see was Shelton and Edge making it to the finals, Shelton beat Edge, and on the night that Shelton was supposed to wrestle Batista, Edge use his "money in the bank" clause, and screw shelton out of a title shot.
It would set up Shelton as a Main Eventer, and a nice feud between him and Edge.
Not the hottest angle out there, but would've made for some decent TV.
