Well, actually a few hours ago yesterday (since it's 2 AM here in Ohio). He refereed for a promotion near Lima called WAR Wrestling and got to sign autographs for people. I bought an 8X10 of him and personalized it for me, and signed my Rise and Fall of ECW DVD too. Now Tommy was a very class act, but I could tell his mind was elsewhere (due to Chris Candido's passing, they did a 10 bell salute for him and Tommy was a bit choked up about it). But I told him that I did a speech on wrestling for my communications course and that I showed a video clip of him in Beyond the Mat telling about his injuries... he asked how well I did in the class and I told him I got an A, which he congratulated and thanked me for. I got a pic with him, which I hope to scan and share sometime soon. But he was an exceptional guy, and I hope that there are more guys like him to meet (a guy at the show told me that Buff Bagwell was advertised for the last WAR show they had and was drunk off his ass, that shows how much he thought about the show).

If I were Buff Bagwell, having burned the biggest bridge in the business beyond repair, I'd have a little drinking problem too....

I always thought it, and you just confirmed it, Tommy has to be one of the nicest people outside of the ring. Well, he never was a bastard in the ring either, I'm just saying is all.

Getting Picture Taken With Tommy Dreamer- $500 A Conversation With Tommy Dreamer- $50,000 Buff Bagwell Drunk Off His Ass- Priceless Banging Judy While Buff Is Drunk Off His Ass- Even More Priceless
Thats cool. Dreamer's a cool guy but WWE made him look mean on Tough Enough when he beat that asian(?) dude with the Kendo Stick, I think the guy asked for it though, I can't remember

Yeah, the weird, but very cool asian dude was Scott, and he asked for the cane shot from Dreamer. He was like, 'even if I don't win, I can say I got a kendo stick shot Tommy Dreamer, how cool is that'...or something in that manner.

Boy, we've got a nice, healthy crop of trolls this spring, don't we!
[ignore]
That's cool! I'm always glad to hear when one of the Superstars is nice. I can understand them being grumpy sometimes, but when they're complete asses, there's no excuse.
I can't wait to see this pic! And see! We're not all the uneducated imbeciles that the WWE front office wishes we were. We even go to college!

The sad thing is that a local mechanic can actually be more famous after the craptacular way Dreamer was booked in the WWE.
Dreamer could have been a big midcard star, or a manager, he has done some great promos and is always trying to put other guys over. The least WWE could do is reward him for that by NOT letting him eat lots of manure.

I would love to own a Brisco Body Shop shirt that he used to wear in 1998. even though I was a dumb mark in 98 and hated the Stooges, I laughed whenever he wore that shirt.
I also wanted to say to during the match he refereed, when face wrestler Dusty Dillinger chopped Steve Lee (the heel champ), Tommy did a Flair impression by doing the strut and doing the flop. It was great.

I met Tommy years ago at an ECW event..He was probably the nicest person I had ever met..
That is, until Saturday night when I met Terry Funk.
Before you could even get a word in, Terry grabbed your hand "Thank you so much for coming over here to see an old man..How are you and your family doing?"
He went out of his way to act like he was your best friend that you haven't seen in a while..
Backstage, that man had to physically helped up the steps to get to where the crowd was..But once his music hit, he was the crazy old bastard all over again.
God Bless the Terry Funks of the world..May he never retire.
