I'll be missing you - Puff Daddy Everytime I hear this song I want to cry. Probably because they ruined one of my favourite songs.

NOFX - Doornails NOFX - Whoops, I OD'd
Its not really like them to have sad songs, but the first is about Fat Mike's friends and relatives who have recently passed on (including his mum), and with the second one, I guess the title speaks for itself.
Also Radio by Alkaline Trio. A friend who died a few years back absolutely loved this song, and it was played at his funeral.

Sarah McLachlan's "Arms of the angels"....especially when it's combined with that ASPCA ad. Just turns the floodgates on every time. BAH - I can't watch the commercial, it kills me every time!!! Just as bad are the bunch of kids who sing "Jesus Loves The Little Children" while they show us film of the poor, hungry and destitute in Africa. "Tears In Heaven" is a channel changer; not because it's sad, because I've heard it over 75,000 times in the early-90s.

Bjork's "All is Full of Love" makes me sad, even though I think it's supposed to be uplifting.
^ This song makes me sad for more than just the lyrics and the music. ... And more than the Eddie tribute, even though that KILLED ME OMG.

Personal reasons. And that performance is heartbreaking.
Undeniable that's pretty heartbreaking either way. There is another one written from a female perspective performed by them. Same thing.
I'll also echo "Radio" by Alkaline Trio.

I wept when I first heard this song. The video is pretty spectacular too.
This song gave me shivers when I first heard it. Still does.

Joey Ramone's cover of "What A Wonderful World" mostly because he knew he'd not be around to see the song released. The song is from the point of view of a dying man in his version.
