That suplex on the stairs was brutal
A really good showing from RAW & Smackdown this week in my opinion. Both had stuff that I'll remember for a while

but after ramming his head into the ringpole was it really necessary to go further? everybody in the damn arena and watching at home GOT IT ALREADY! Rey sold it so well. for me it was just sickening. what was the damn point. thanks too a good push and incredable charisma, eddie has been, super mega over as a face on sd, easily the top face on the brand before the dumb cena mega push started ... the arena mark's are so use too popping for him, vinnie mac & the booker's feel that, they need too realy make it clear they should boo eddie... squared dont worry, abt rey rey...both guy's have said in shoot intervew's that eddie is like reys big brother and, they have complete trust w/each other in the ring (neither guy is gona get legit injured)... they been working program's for year's & put on, amazing match's...prolly the only person rey trust's more then eddie is psicosis... the real problem is, even though the feud has, 2 great performer's who are over, after the blow off both guy's are gonna loose ALL thier heat

That was THE single greatest heel turn of the decade right there.
No question about it.
Kudos to both guys.

This reminds me of Orndorff's heel turn on Hogan back in 1987...
Save, then swerve.

A suplex on the steps was so much better then a Brainbuster. 'Cause in the case of a Brainbuster, there's a way to protect the victom of it more so then a straight suplex.
This is probably one of the best heel turns in a looooong time, due the actual time they gave it to let it play out, and well, because Eddie is such a natural heel.

i was disgusted last night. Ok, so yet another "jump the face" conclusion at the end of the show *yawn* hey look here comes Eddie Guerrero to clean house, pretty cool. now Eddie turns on Rey Mysterio, Ok i'll buy that. but after ramming his head into the ringpole was it really necessary to go further? everybody in the damn arena and watching at home GOT IT ALREADY! Rey sold it so well. for me it was just sickening. what was the damn point. That was the point. If Eddie just attacked Rey, then who cares it would just be another heel turn. But to brutalize Rey the way he did made it great. I really enjoyed a Smackdown for once with the Cena video (makes me laugh just thinking about that again) a great match between Orlando and Booker, and then the Eddie turn.

Eddie deserves an oscar for his performance. That lost look on his eyes after he suplexed rey rey had me in awe. I've never been into an angle like this in a long time.

I guess they had to make it look as bloody and messy as they could to make the turn stick. Remember when he turned on Tajiri? that turn was almost non-existant and was pretty much forgotten about in a very short time.
I do wonder who they're going to get to replace Eddie as one of the top faces on Smackdown though. Right now the only main faces they have are Booker, Cena, Undertaker, and Mysterio. I'm guessing they'll probably draft Christian and somehow turn him face in the draft that's coming.

Isn't RVD supposed to be back some time soon, like after the ECW ppv. But i'd still rather have RVD as a heel, but then again, i wouldn't mind seeing RVD and Eddie go at it again.

Remember when he turned on Tajiri? that turn was almost non-existant and was pretty much forgotten about in a very short time. EXACTLY!!! This is the reason for the extra brutality by Eddie. Eddie is extremely popular as a babyface. A simple heel turn wouldn't cut it. Eddie had to be shown as a ruthless, heartless, S.O.B., which is why Rey's mask was split & Eddie did that AWESOME suplex to Rey on the steel steps. Hopefully the suplex will have the same effect on Eddie that the 'I Quit' match had on The Rock in 1999. For those of you that don't remember, The Rock was EXTREMELY popular for a heel. The brutal chair shots by The Rock to a handcuffed Mankind helped get The Rock over as a brutal heel.

maybe it's the difference between being brought up on old-school rasslin (me) and being brought up on ECW style (many of you)? So did you have a problem with Terry Funk piledriving Ric Flair through a table just after Flair won a huge title match against Ricky Steamboat? That was way more devastating back in the day than some suplex on steps today.

I think the ending was great by SD standards. SD is the minor league show, and having a heel Eddie killing people is second only to a heel Benoit killing people. So maybe I'll actually watch SD instead of Seinfeld this week. Funny, I never miss RAW.
