He didn't work for them for nearly a decade.. I thought it was classy for what it was, they didn't have to acknowledge his death at all. And like Mojo says, I'm willing to bet a significant # of fans don't know Candido ( more's the pity)

Its a little different with Pillman and Owen because they were both working for the company at the time. Thing with Candido is that they had a graphic for him but not for Crash?

When Louie Spicoli died, WCW didn't even break character. Pathetic.

Davey Boy Smith, Curt Hennig and such deserve better. British Bulldog had an awesome one detailing his history in the biz, and Mr. Perfect had the best video tribute ever.

Just my two cents, I pretty much agree with the original post by Bread Basket. I really think they should of done a 10-bell salute. I think this has more to do with Candido being with TNA than it does him not being with WWE anymore. I think this illustrates the WWE is taking TNA a bit more seriously than we thought that they didn't want to acknowledge him in a more caring way. I really think they should of done more, I was disapointed that they didn't.

HOW!
Bossman, Herc, Freddie Blassie, Stu Hart, Elizabeth, Hawk, Crash, Davey Boy, Perfect..
All did not even recieve a 10 bell salute, how does it show disrespect to TNA?
Bossman was WWE for life and all he got was a graphic

I don't think Crash got a graphic on Raw or Smackdown, but I do remember the end-of-year special WWE had had a big montage of wrestlers who had died that year, which included Crash.
And I think the placement of the Candido graphic was ok, I thought it was all they needed.

Alright. Somebody needs to give a concrete reason why he should have gotten the 10 bells.
He was NOTHING in the WWF. He is remembered for losing to f***ing Barry Horowitz. It's amazing that they even did the graphic.

I think that WWE did the right thing regarding Chris Candido's death. The placement of the clip was fine. This was the first Raw after a PPV, and from a business standpoint a recap of the PPV was their priority. Did anyone expect them to do a video tribute showing him as 'Skip' of the Bodydonnas? Most current probably don't know who Candido is, and the ones the do know who he is probably don't remember him working for WWE. I believe that the 10 bell salute is only approriate for those CLOSELY associated with the company. This just gives certain people something to complain about, which they obviously enjoy doing.

Giving Candido a 10 bell salute would be equal to giving Koko B. Ware a 10 bell salute when he dies.

In my opinion I think that giving the wrestlers that have passed away graphics is fine. If Vince really wanted to then yes he could play a 2 minute video illustrating the particular wrestlers life but as for a 10 bell salute I agree that they should only happen when it was for someone closely related to the company(i.e. working in WWE at the time)Thats just me though.

QUIT COMPLAINING! WWE pay a respectable tribute to Candido. How long was he in the company? Under 5 years?
WWE has payed tribute to all of the dead you mentioned! Just because you don't remember it doesn't mean it didn't happen. Owen and Pillman were both on the active WWE roster at the time of thier passing. When a current co-worker dies it's different than a former employee.
The wrestlers who work night after night with these people are hit hard by the death of a member of the current roster. Many on the WWe roster right now have NEVER worked with Candido.
A tribute graphic IS very classy. they payed respect to a man who was mighty talented and died far too young.

Seriously you guys need to chill out. Back in 2001 when russ haas died they talked about him for a bit on RAW and he got an in memory of graphic and he hadnt even been on tv yet. Whether or not they want to aknowledge someone's death or not is thier perrogative. And damn it now you got that Britney Spears song in my head thanks crappers

I think people need to quit PMSing about every little thing WWE does. I knew when Candido died whether WWE showed anything about him or not there would be some people complaining about it. They honestly didn't need to show anything because just about none of the newer veiwers who hadn't seen an episode of Impact knew who he was. I'm just glad WWE did anything for him

Giving Candido a 10 bell salute would be equal to giving Koko B. Ware a 10 bell salute when he dies. Just because big show's daddy got one 5 bells anyways because of the bossman interruption doesnt mean everyone should get one
