06 was the worst for me hands down. I hated the new DX with a passion and it was the only year of Shawn's single career were he didn't have like 5 match of the year contenders. Edge vs Cena was the ONLY thing good about 06. Well Edge in general actually.

2003.
The year of the most tedious Triple H reign ever.

06. It just seemed to drag on forever. HBK sucked as a heel. Edge and Cena was good at first, but painfully boring after it dragged on. It was just generally boring to me.
2003/2004 has got to be a favorite of mine.

Sorry if I messed up on that.

2003 is very underrated in my opinion.
SmackDown still kicked all kinds of ass at the time. Angle, Lesnar, Mysterio, Eddie, Chavo, Benoit, Matt Hardy, Billy Kidman, Tajiri, and others consistently had great matches.
And yeah, Raw wasn't all that good because of "I...AM THE GAAAAAAAAAAME" promos every week. But you also had good stuff with Kane being unmasked and becoming a psycho, and great wrestling with guys like HBK, Jericho, RVD, and Christian.
If I had to pick the worst year, it would be '04. So many terrible PPVs, and Smackdown got much weaker.

2003, even I couldn't tolerate much of what was on TV that year. Wasn't a fan of Goldberg, there was that horrible Mr. America/Zach Gowen/Vince vs. Steph (with bonus Sable affair) crap, the midcard was stale as hell (remember there was no draft this year) and to top it off there was the HHH Title reign OF DOOM. Very few positives this year, Orton's ascension and WrestleMania being among them.

Enjoyability factor, easily 2006. The reformation of DX was a huge let down, Cena dominated the WWE title scene, Rey's title win was a big let down, ECW returning was a big let down. There were some enjoyable things though with One Night Stand 2(mostly RVD's title win) and Edge winning the WWE title twice.
Injuries and the Benoit tragedy make 2007 slide past it though. The end of 2007 definitely picked up (from about Orton's title win onwards) but it was too late. Cena dominated the WWE title scene (this time in a much more unbeatable fashion), Lashley turned out to be a bust, Hornswoggle being Vince's son.
2008 was big breathe of fresh air and turned out to be imo one of the best years in a long time.
I thought 2003 was pretty good. SmackDown! had high quality matchups pretty much all the time. Raw was a bit shoddy with HHH dominating the World title scene and Goldberg's lackluster title reign.

Of course I liked both Cena's reign and the DX reboot.

2007:
-Benoit -The subsequent steroid controversy -ECW resurrected...as a Zombie! -Big Daddy V: Because Mabel's push worked so well in 1995, let's do it again...this time shirtless! -Cena with a stranglehold title reign -World Title dominated by Batista and the Great Khali -Wrestlemania, while overall good, focused roughly 80% of the buildup on a match between two hosses with neither of their titles on the line, and the focus more on Donald Trump and Vince McMahon.

2007. For various reasons.
I'd say 2003 if It were just for one brand (Raw).

Best 2005 (ECW ONS I) (Plus an awesome summer of wrestling on Raw (Shelton, Benoit, Jericho, Christian, HBK, Angle, etc)
Worst- 2004- In my opinion the worst wrestlemania of this decade (Two awful tag team matches, a boring cruiserweight open) (An Awful Benoit title reign on Raw) The Eugene era errrr I mean error during spring on raw, Orton title reign, Shane Kane sucking etc. Man that was an awful year for wrestling. Maybe the worst since '95

2006 rocked in my opinion. The fun from the mixed response to Cena, the rise of Edge, King Booker's reign, Finlay as a badass heel, Kennedy actually being fun to watch, Rated RKO, Mickie/Trish, JBL on commentary, ECW One Night Stand, the Londrick tag team, Big Show's ECW title reign where he faced a variety of challengers, Lashley actually being used well, Jeff Hardy's return, and Kurt Angle in general before he left the company. Things generally picked up after March, but the whole year was pretty solid.
The sheer host absences due to injuries in 2007 (Kennedy, Booker, Cena, HHH, Edge, Rey), the Benoit situation, stale product, poorly done draft, fired talent, etc just really made year just not that fun to watch.

In terms of publicity, 2007 is without a doubt the worst year In terms of writing and wrestling, its sort of a toss between 2003 and 2004
2003 was Raw's worst year, but it was Smackdown's best year also. The roles kinda reversed in 2004, I felt

For me personally, 2003. I didn't get UPN and thus, no Smackdown for me. So my 2003 pro wrestling viewing consisted of listening to heel Triple H talking for twenty minutes every week, heel Triple H fueding with Shawn Michaels...again, Goldust having tourettes, Kevin Nash getting injured over and over, Goldberg being boring, Dancin' Lance Storm, and Booker T jobbing week in and week out despite being the most over guy on the show.
Yeah, 2003 gets it hands-down.
