A fan wrote in to ProWrestling.net and apparently these two people were just as obnoxious during the actual show. Apparently, he also wanted to fight Santino Marella during the show. The article states they were both 20 years old. Ashley Levey can be easily seen in the video wearing a John Cena t-shirt. So this brain surgeon had been itching to pick a fight with a wrestler, tries his hands at one of the smaller ones, has back-up, and still gets his ass handed to him. Good job!

dont you think people would have learnt by now not to push those canadian wrestlers Dude... Really? The two have nothing to do with each other. Now, for the reason I came into this forum... I haven't seen Jericho set the IWC on fire like this since people ran wild with the idea of him returning. You think the E could find a way to use this for heel heat? was a joke sir, sorry to ruffle your feathers

Good Lord, I myself am 20 years old and would never even think about acting that stupid in ANY situation, let alone in front of someone who just busted their ass entertaining me that day. Morons. This to the nth degree...90% of my graduating class were exactly like these clowns.

In my opinion... I think that Jericho should have remained in the car.. despite how crazy the fans were... it's the security guards' jobs to control the fans.
He should have never got out of the car, period.
When he had decided to get out of the car.. he was asking for trouble.. considering how nutty the fans were. They could have stabbed him or something. They seemed like meth heads.. those 2 fans... I mean come on.
But anyways... by him flipping out.. despite how horrid those people were... it's just not good. He should have known better, honestly.

I love all the people who are blaming Jericho for leaving..an angry mob...who are PHYSICALLY ATTACKING HIM. I guess he's supposed to "follow the law" and just stand there and get punched and his head slammed against cars, but we can all sleep at night knowing he "followed the law" by staying. And for all he knew, he was in a life or death situation. When people are attacking you, you don't have time to stand there and think about what you're gonna do. All you know is that people are attacking you from every angle, he defended himself. Why don't we throw you people in the middle of an angry mob who are attacking you and lets see your asses just stand there trying to think about if you should defend yourself or not. Let's see if your asses do the exact same thing and punch anyone who is lunging at you.

Every person that was struck is a separate encounter. Granted, I'm no expert on Canadian law, but I would like to think that those Jericho struck unprovoked will have a case against him. The only ones that would have an open and shut case would the be the security people. The security have absolutely no ground as physicality is an inherent risk in their position. (Security people are some of the most underpaid people for the amount of crud they have to put up with, and the hand tying rules don't help)

another fan comment from the Times-Colonist article that same person (male) earlier on before the Y2J incident tried picking a fight with Tommy Dreamer, he was swearing and the security guard told him to stop...he then threatened the security guard. Instead of removing these two from the property the guard just stood their while these two kept swearing in front of little kids. Then this dude picks a fight with my sons 14 year old friend. If security had done their jobs and removed this guy when he first threatened the security the Jericho incident would never have happened. I blame security. WWE will probably never return with these fat outta shape security guards employed by our arena.

Seeing as I know her very well and as she's my gf, probably not though I would probably restrain her physically as I'm not too keen on being anyone's punching bag. As for Jericho, it's not his gf, just some crazed overzealous fan who overstepped her boundaries. But that's not the argument people are making, which I think needs to be said. If Jericho was accused of punching his wife in the face because she pushed and grabbed him and spit on him, I still think most people would consider him to be at fault. The ones who said that it doesn't matter who pushes you, once they do, it's go time, must not have sisters, mothers, or daughters. Now, I think the argument can be made that because he did not know this women, that once he felt her grabbing him, he might not have known what she was going to do next. Even that might be giving him to much credit, because he could've pushed her away, rather then just throwing a punch. But the sentiment that I read on many of these post is that is ok for a man to hit a woman if provoked in the way he was provoked, and that is just wrong. Ihave a mother sister and daughter, but they aren't strangers, I know them I know they are not going to do some form of permanent damage. With a stranger you just don't know. And while I would not ordinarily strike a woman (or anyone else for that matter.) I do support the ERA and you can't have it both ways people, equality is equality.

Here's a third video that starts with him going to his car but still with the crucial moment that started with the whole thing missing: lol @ :05 "JERICHO YOU'RE NOT VERY NIIIICE!!!" I know that the whole forum is ready to defend Jericho because "He's a good wrestler" and "He's good on the mic", but you do not hit a woman. Period. Chris Jericho is a worthless piece of s***. He brought it on himself and I hope he gets reprimanded for this. Well, good luck to you when a woman decides to spit on and hit you in public. Just nod your head, smile, and let her continue. That'll show her. There is a major double standard here. Women are held to such a high degree that they can do just about anything and feel bulletproof. Most men, me included, take the abuse rather than do the right thing (what Jericho did). I hope there is a day in society when hitting people period is considered wrong, but what would the world be without double standards? I will only speak for myself when I say thank you Chris. I have no sympathy for women like that. I know a girl who has been raped before. Those are the ones I feel bad for, not ones who spit on and hit people. Lol, kind of reminds me of the Bill Burr joke about how you can't hit a woman, and how much of an a-hole he'd be to people if he knew it was socially unacceptable for people to hit him.

Dude, all this "he hit a girl, OMGZ!!!" crap is ridiculous. And guess what? I am a girl. GASP!!!! (also ... I have a mother and a sister. So. ;P)
If she had just shoved him, continued to heckle him. Sure. Punching her would be uncalled for.
But she reached into his vehicle and shoved him AGAIN. She had already invaded his personal space MULTIPLE times before, she got in the way of his vehicle, threatened him (legitimately, too - it was, what, technically 50 on 1? Security doesn't count, as they HARDLY intervened..) and she had SPIT on him.
She is a dumb. bitch. Nothing else to that. You absolutely do not disrespect someone like that and expect to get off olly-olly-oxen-free. That's just basic manners, first of all. Jericho was TRYING to leave, and she egged him on some more. Don't start anything, and there won't BE anything.
Yes, he could've been a better person and just let it go. But tempers flare, people react instead of think first. MOST people would've slugged whoever the f*** shoved him without thinking twice about it. So don't say "he struck a woman, he's completely out of line", when honestly? You would've retaliated in THAT situation in pretty much the same way.
Fact of it is, if she wouldn't have done it to any other man (or anyone else period) she shouldn't have done it to Jericho.

Seriously, I can't even fathom what kind of mentality it takes to behave the way those people behaved. Am I just cut off from society to the degree that I'm unaware that it's ok for that now? Never, even when I was that age, would have I acted like that to ANYONE. That girl assaulted him. Yes, he could of let it go, but I honestly don't see any fault on his part.
Ug, and people wonder why I'd rather just spend time with my kids and my dogs....

I mean, seriously, I beat the christ out of asshats on a regular out at the bars, but is there any way to not LOVE Jericho more after this? Good god. If any of you come in here and start belly achin' for these douchebags fans I swear.. But really..I LOVE IT. Internet Tough Guy, reporting for duty... But if I can be serious for a minute, Jericho vs an angry mob is awesome.

That security was snorking horrible. You know, I'm surprised anyone is really surprised by this. I mean, remember that time any two wrestlers got into a fight in the ring, and how long it took two-dozen security guards to break it up?

Its everyone else he decked afterwards that I'm having trouble wrapping my head around.

In my opinion... I think that Jericho should have remained in the car.. He could of done this too, and that probably would of been the best option. He just had to make sure to all the windows are shut and the doors are locked. Then it was just a matter of revving the engine up a few times to scatter the crowd and he'd probably be fine. Irregardless after he got out of the car, he generally took the right actions.
