I love the Dr. Phibes movies. I gotta watch those again, it's been awhile. I just found my dvd, after it being lost for years following a move. And BTW, that trailer rules on many levels...the animation, the organ music, Vincent Price making animals and insects kill, etc. But the thing that puts it over the top for me is the movie voiceover guy at the end. The movie voiceover guy who also happened to do this piece of gold...

I love Vincent Price and Phibes was great. When I watched the first one the first time, on one of the premium movie channels, my mom walked down to the basement and said how she hated that movie and it had give her nightmares after she watched it. The next day, she was yelling at me that she had a nightmare that Dr. Phibes was chasing after her.

You know, that was the only horror movie I ever subjected my ex-girlfriend to, that she actually wanted to watch again. BTW, check out my Myspace page link below. The first song I have on my music player is a dandy little horrorpunk tune entitled, "Calling Dr.Phibes." A classic!!!

I have both movies on DVD, they're awesome.
Theater of Blood is great too, Instead of killing people based on Plagues of Egypt he kills people based on the works of Shakespeare

A while back, I downloaded a killer Halloween mashup of Vincent Price and a band called Circlesquare. The Price stuff is from a record he did on cooking curry and spliced the audio so he talks of cooking boys. hypem.com/artist/vincent+price+vs+circlesquare

The movies were pretty good, but the only scene that actually creeped me out was the blood-pumping one. That just... ugh.

Great movie. And evidence that as long as you have a doctorate in theology and a doctorate in music, you can accomplish anything.
Anything.

Okay, since I saw a few people missing my tournament in here I'll tell you what. This Friday I'll bring it back. I work all day tommorow, and I'll spend some time when I get home re-organizing and changing the structure around to fit in with current tournament rules and then Friday afternoon we'll get it started back.
