We all watched Flair retire last year around Wrestlemania, (With the actual match with HBK, the Hall of Fame, & following Raw,) & I was wondering...
With all the talk of 'Taker retiring soon, will there be the same amount of respect be shown to the Undertaker as there was to Flair? Or would there be more? Undertaker is WWE-moulded, he has stuck around when the times were high and low, and always performed for the company, would Vince give him a bigger send off that they did for Flair?
(Personally, I know Flair did a lot more for wrestling per se, but Taker has given his all for the WWE and I just think Vince will embrace that when he retires.)

To WWE specifically Undertaker has absolutely meant more than Flair. I don't know how much of a public celebration they'd have though, it's hard to picture Undertaker in the ring crying while the locker room empties and old opponents are congratulating him. Not saying he doesn't deserve it, just saying I kind of doubt it happens.

I'd like to think WWE will give Taker an epic send off fitting for the Undertaker character, maybe even a passing of the torch to a new phenom.

I believe he's done a lot more for the WWE than Ric did. He stuck by Vince's side through everything (including the Montreal Screwjob). For that reason, I think he'll get a very good sendoff.

Does Undertaker mean more to WWE than Ric Flair?; to wrestling in general no, to the WWF/E in particular yes. 'Taker was/is a creation of the WWF/F. They built him from the ground up. He was a major part, and a mainstay, of both the Superstars and Attitude WWF/E Eras. The company could always count on him, like HBK, he never jumped ship. For those reasons, as well as several others, I answered the way I did.

Undertaker is WWE's guy. He's been there through it all.
Flair got big in the NWA & WCW & territories.
As a whole, Flair means more to wrestling. But, Taker means more to WWE.

Unquestionably.
It could be argued that he is the WWE's main guy or the back bone if you will.

I can't imagine an Undertaker-send-off. That would make him human, and it just wouldn't work. I don't know how they would go about doing it without it either not fitting with the past 18 years of his career, or being all hokey and whatnot.

Taker, to me, is the ultimate company man. SHows up, does his job, does whatever he's asked, apparently has volunteered to work with a bunch of the young guys to help them (A-Train comes to mind right away as someone Taker "took under his wing"). Didn't jump when you know money was offered, didn't jump during the steroids fiascoin 1994,just beenthere for years doing whatever.
I'd love to see a massive send-off when he hangs it up.

I'd like to see a bigger send off than Flair but something tells me that when he retires, and wins the belt on that night. The arena will go black and the belt will be lying on the ring after Taker disappears. :-\.
I hope not, I'd like to see a Flair-esque send off

As deep in kayfabe as 'Taker tends to keep his character most of the time, you'll never see that kinda send-off on camera.

I'm beginning to wonder whether Taker will ever really retire in a finalised way, or he'll just gradually wind down his caeer towards only making sporadic appearances until it's not feasible for him to wreslte anymore.

Absolutely he does. No question. Flair got so much appreciation from the WWE because he was Hunter's favorite wrestler. Period.

Undertaker means more to the 'E. Flair means more to wrestling in general.

Undertaker means more to the 'E. Flair means more to wrestling in general. This. However, if he does get a sendoff, it will be in a character-related way. It will be Flair-esque, but in a much different matter.
